Anybody else excited about the upcoming import releases of:

King of Fighters 2k (and possibly 2k1), and Ikaruga?

Not to mention there has been a bunch of rumors floating around that Playmore may port Metal Slug 3 to the DC also.

I'm a huge fan of KoF, and until I get my neogeo cab, the DC (and Saturn) will have to do for all my KoF gaming needs.

I am! I'm working on getting at least two copies of Ikaruga! Treasure + shooter= soiled pants!

Indeed.

From everything I've read, Ikaruga looks like it is going to be a great shooter.

Treasure shootie innovation crossed with the light/shadow gameplayof Silhouette Mirage... *drools*

I only have one copy reserved, but I have a feeling in a few years it's going to end up going for fat $$$$ on ebay.

What a time to be poor! :x

I'd really like Ikargua, but I can't get the scratch to make a pre order. Ahh well.

As long as Ikaruga is 1,000,000 times better than Stretch Panic, I'll be happy.

Oh, and you may not have to worry too much about pre-ordering Ikaruga unless the hype becomes absolutely insane:

"New preorders for Ikaruga are welcome. NCS will stock enough quantities of the game to fill any and all preorders up until the game's release this fall and our stock will probably last for a year after that."

Yeah, but with everyone calling it the sequel to Radiant Silvergun *snicker* who knows?

I don't think you'll have to worry too much about it not being better than stretch panic. I think MOST games are better than that.

Yes, Stretch Panic sucked. I'm not yet sure if Ikaruga is worth plunking down a $60 pre-order for though, but I'm always very picky about what I import.

Something tells me that Ikaruga's future as a $200 ebay auction is predicated entirely on whether or not Treasure makes a PS2 version.

And I'm still hoping for a "story mode" in Ikaruga, or at least an animated intro. It would be nice to see Yasushi Suzuki's magnificent art used for something other than posters.

I totally agree about the ps2 rev.

Yup. Dreamcast is still alive and well. Got Hypertension and Scourge coming sometime this year too. Sooner than later, I hope.
