I recently recived Splatterhouse for Famicom, but I have some problems with it. First time I tried to run it the menu freezed, couldnt press start or anything. Then I turned it on and off, worked until i got to the first boss (green, slimy monsters) and it freezed.
So I thought the game might be dirty and I cleaned it, worked, got past the first boss and alittle further into a room with bookshelfs. Now the pic was totaly strange. I jumped and the game freezed.

Now I cant even start the game. I've cleaned it many times, but it still wont start. What can be the problem? Other games work fine.

EDIT: Now the game seems to be working.. Realy strange. I didnt even remove the cartridge and now it works fine (so far atleast)

Might be your 60 to 72 pin adapter...unless you are playing it in a real Famicom....then it might be the system contacts. Can you see the games contacts? Are you sure they are completely clean?

Should this be in the repair forum?

Edit: Oops, saw your edit. :-)

I'm playing on a Twin Famicom. Splatterhouse is alittle bigger than a normal Famicom game so I dont think a 60 to 72 pin converter would work.
Not sure if its the contact since other games work fine.

This game was really strange. Maybe I shall sell it on Ebay as a haunted game haha ;)

Thanks for the help :)
