Now the Shareholders are suing EA. Some old song that made itself dominate in the year 2001 (Enron and the likes), just lying about their projected earnings. No basis, yada yada...
Thought I would throw it out there, since obviously EA was everyone hot topic two months ago.

NOw the reality is setting in, EA is not alone, a lot of crap companies are getting into trouble now for this, ie, firms provide crap services/products and yet earnings are artificially and suspiciously high, AOL was another company that got into trouble recently.

I had this happen to a company I held stock in a year ago. The company had to send all their shareholders some legal documents to fill out, and then a few months later I got a check in the mail from the settlement. Really pretty painless. Its nice that somebody out there is holding these guys accountable. Lying about earnings is fraud, through and through. It surprises me that a company like EA would have to do such a thing. I thought they were minting money.

I know what you mean. My poor fathers retirement was in the Stock market, and with the drop in '00 then the attack in '01 and then the frauds in '02....
The biggest drop came from the frauds like Enron and such. People started pulling their money for safety's sake...

Sports are good.
Edited as to not turn into a I hate sports games thread.

In a perfect world we would'nt have ANOTHER thread mentioning EA turn into a 'I hate sports' bashing fest again.
