And no, I won't give it to you. :P

I'm thinking of picking up something for the PSP or DS (but I'm open to other ideas). Ridge Racer looks awesome, but I already have Wipeout and I'm not sure if I want to have 2 racing games or not. Other thoughts that cross my mind include Zoo Keeper, Gretzky on PSP, World Tour Soccer on PSP and the new TimeSplitters. Can anyone help me decide? :)

Would ordering me a pizza be the same as giving me money? What if I took pictures of myself eating the pizza and emailed them to you?

Yoshi's Touch and Go.

Where are you from in Minnesota, BTW?

I've got that already...actually, so people don't suggest stuff I have already, here's a list:

And I live in Roseville. It's nice, I guess. :P

I just rented the TimeSplitters game, and I have to say, I like it a lot. Now I rented the XBOX version and load times were close to nothing. It's a solid game and definatly worth it.

If the Gretzky game is good, then I would get that. I agree with you about not having two racing games on the PSP right off the bat like that. Playing one racing game at a time is enough IMHO. Soccer sounds good, too. If you dont yet have a sports game for PSP then I think you should get one. Just weigh out which game is supposed to be the best and what sport you like the most.

My biggest concern w/ the current soccer game is that FIFA could quite possibly be better. I like hockey more, but I hear it isn't great. And I'm with you on the racing thing, though I want to ask...

Of any of you who have both Ridge Racer AND Wipeout, are they both good and unique enough to justify having both? And just how much content in terms of cars and tracks and race types, etc. is there in Ridge Racer? The reviews I've read have been general, and I'd like to know some more solid info.

Get Twisted Metal Head On, every other PSP game sucks in comparison.

Owning both Ridge Racer & Wipeout, I think the two are different enough to warrant having both of them. I'm a huge fan of both series, so I expected all along to get those w/the PSP. Ridge Racer has your standard single race and time trial modes, but also there is a World Tour mode, where you do different sets of races, broken up by car class.

I'm really only in Basic Tour now, of which there are 8 sets of races, but I still find it to be a lot of fun. As for tracks, there's the ones from Ridge Racer, Ridge Racer Revolution (short and long versions), along with two each from Rage Racer, Rave Racer, and Ridge Racer Type 4. Plus, mirror variants of each...there's probably a few more I haven't unlocked yet though. Looks like about 54 cars to unlock too.

If you're a racing fan, I think it's worth having both...though I admit, the new Timesplitters is probably great if the first two are any indication :)

How has no one mentioned any classic games yet? I say you go to your local pawn shop/game crazy/etc. and buy a bunch of NES or SNES or Genesis games.
Out of the games you mentioned, I suggest Gretsky Hockey. Mainly because the N64 version is one of my favorite games.

I am really enjoying Ape Escape, and it has awsome multiplayer. I would say go for that. If yourinto puzzle games Lumines is alot of fun. Besides Touch And Go I don't know of any DS games (besides FTM) I would really recommend. :/

Well, lemme see here...

I would go to a GameStop or EB and, based on your lists, I would buy not new portable games, but a couple more for the current crop of consoles.

First up, I'd suggest Splashdown for $9.99 (Xbox version for the cheaper-ness and custom soundtracks) - http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/220056.asp It is a great jet ski racing game, and worth every dollar and then some. I added this one because I saw that you had Wave Race for the GameCube. I was greatly disappointed in Wave Race after having played Splashdown.

Next up - Future Tactics. You can get this new at GameStop for only $4.99, or used for $3.99 for any system. I would suggest the Xbox version over the others, again thanks to the custom soundtrack feature - http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=950508 It isn't the best game, but it is fun and if you like strategy games at all will keep you busy for a while for only $4.00. Plus, when the next trade two, get an extra $10.00 sale comes along, if you don't like it, you can always sell it for a gain!

Now, for a PS2 Game - Headhunter. I didn't see many games like this in your lists, but I want to suggest it anyway... for $7.99, I think it is worth a shot. Basically, Headhunter is like some of the best spy movies rolled into one. The plot is interesting, and the gameplay is varied enough to keep you going. It's one of my favorite games (I own the Dreamcast import version and liked it so much, I bought myself a copy of the game even though I don't own a PS2 yet.) - http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/217586.asp

Well, we're at $21.97... and if you have the discount cards for both places like I'm guessing, we can take 10% off, meaning we are at the halfway mark -- $20.00.

I'd next have to suggest Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu. It is an excellent beat-em-up, which was really surprising to me. And it is only $12.99 for the GameCube - http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/236512.asp Worth every penny!

Next up, a two-fer... Jet Grind Radio Future and Sega GT. These two games are both just awesome, and thanks to Microsoft packing them in with consoles for a while, you can get them both for only $2.99 at GameStop. Why anyone would pass this up is beyond me, as both games are excellent - http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/231052.asp

For the last game, you seem to like extreme sports based on your collection (As do I ;) ) and I think that you should give Amped a go for only $3.99 - http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=950068 It will keep you busy and entertained for a while.

That puts me at $41.94, but if you have the discount cards, it will ring in for $37.75 before tax. That's my suggestion -- 7 next-gen games, all of which are very fun and worth playing for a great value :)

I would personally recommend spending $30 on Racing Gears Advance for the GBA. It's kind of a cross between Micro Machines, Super Off-Road, and Mario Kart, but with a soundtrack by the Tetrisphere guy. It's a great game that nobody seems to be selling...all of the EBs and Gamestops in town never even ordered the game, I had to get it from Toys R Us. Really glad I did, though.

In case anyone's wondering...I went w/ TimeSpliitters Future Perfect. I also strapped up a little extra cash and was able to get Spikeout Battlestreet...both I'm definitely enjoying.

If the money weren't primarily in Best Buy gift cards, I probably would've gone with one of those used games suggestions. Or charity, of course.

WooHoo! my one little post on Timesplitters wins! Well, I hope I made a good suggestion for you, because i adore the darn game. And if you hate the game (which is incredibly unlikely) you could always send the game my way....then you would have gotten a game and donated to charity. You'd win twice!
