Ok, the forum is open. Let's get it started.

DP had a post going in off topic about this, but maybe now that the fourm is opened people will be more likely to respond.

So, the question is, what shoudl be the forum de jour?

Well it depends on how long it's going to be that particular forum. I wouldn't mind seeing a metroid forum, or better yet an xbox hacking forum, or maybe a colecovision forum.

Please allow me to cut 'n' paste :)

For the moment let's turn this into the LATEST GAME RELEASES forum where people can discuss exclusively new next-gen game releases.

I'd like to say lets talk about porn but that's probably not for this forum so I won't say it.

How about RPG's. Just about every good RPG has not only websites dedicated to them but some have their own forums. We barely touch RPG's anywhere on this board and probably everyone has a story to share related to RPG's so that is my idea. 8-)

The only problem with RPG's is that most of them suck.

We should just make this a porn pic posting forum. LOL

See- there is an example. Even Butta has something to say about RPG's. I know he's too busy planning his next great fighting move in Mortal Kombat or Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Heart Attack Special Limited Editon No Need To Have Any Skills To Play Version. RPG's are not for everyone but everyone has something to say so again thats my idea. 8-)

I second the topic of repair and maintenance of videogame systems, but think we should extend it beyond just sytems: controllers, cartridges, and perhipherals too.

Hmm.. I see quite a sampling of topics so far.

Repair 7 maintenance tips (I need some on CV controllers myself!)
RPG's
New Game Releases
System-specific

I'd like to add my own (but you have a month or so before this would be really useful) for a Philly Classic forum. :)

Instead of just console repair, how about console modding as well. I'd really like to know how I could make a wireless PS2 controller, but I haven't got the expertise to do it.

Maybe this isn't necessarily a forum idea, but it could be.

Once again I've been hearing about how Chicago had a book for the city to read. I forget which book it was, but they recommended everybody pick it up and read it and then talk about it with others. Went over pretty well from what I've gathered.

Why not do the same with a game? Let's name a game and have everybody play it for like a month and the forum can be for discussing the game du jour. High scores. Glitches. Reviews. Links to walkthroughs/FAQs. Whatever. When talk gets stale we switch to another game. We could even use the forum polls to pick new games on consensus.

Because they have Walmarts in England.
