It's pretty simple. I set myself up to play Ape Escape online today, and I did a check and nobody was online. Doesn't this go across the country? Nobody was trying to play Ape Escape online? Or did I do something wrong? Also anyone up for boxing? ;)

I got the same result with Need for Speed. I am able to connect, but no players. Maybe they are having trouble with their match making server right now.

Ape Escape: On the Loose is an "Ad Hoc" game, meaning you can only play via WiFi against nearby PSPs. "Infrastructure" games can be played via Internet.

Yeah I had a little trouble figuring this out at first. It would have been nice if they called it "WiFi" and "Internet" instead of "Ad Hoc" and "Infrastructure". Or then again, it would have been nice if I read the instruction book. :embarrassed:

For the Ad Hoc games, you might want to give Xlink Kai a shot so that you can play online. It is not a portable solution, but it works... Well, I guess it is a portable solution if you bring your PSP and your laptop to a hotspot.

Im having a lot of trouble with Twisted Metal. I can connect to the games and do everything. I can even play for a few seconds, but then I get an error and get disconnected?

Make sure your wireless connection is not dropping out.

Anyone mess with the supposed Wipeout browser 'hack'?

I was told you could surf on a PSP using the download function of Wipeout.

I dont mean to thread jack but does anyone have a list of PSP games that are Infrastructure compatible. I only have darkstalkers but I can not make it connect to others. It says infrastructure on the back of the game box.

I recall someone said a couple games may be mislabeled. I wonder if DarkStalkers is one of them?

As for Twisted Metal, the first time I played, I took the PSP all over the place and stayed connected fine, the second time I sat next to the router and it stayed. The third, I was in the same place but it cut me off after a few minutes.

I can tell now that Sony has definitely worked out some of the bugs on Twisted Metal, as I just played online for a half of an hour before being booted.

Yeah, they might have fixed the servers. I just played online for about an hour.

I already took my copy back, but mainly because I just wasn't into it.
