I dunno if anyone else found this, but I've found alot of PSX longbox games at my local Gamestop lately. Going in today to pick up a game I found about 5-6 various titles and rarities from sports titles to some other titles.

Dunno I'll buy them or not (pretty cheap) to collect, play or sell here or not yet.

I've found the exact opposite. I don't see nearly as many longbox PSX as I did, say, two years ago.

Then again, Kaine, I don't know if I'd call 5-6 titles an "influx".

Well its more longboxes I've seen at my local store in a long time. Now and again one or sometimes two will show up, counted maybe 6 or 7 when I was there earlier.

Maybe before work tommorrow I'll jot the titles down.

Just based on my experience I've been seeing more of them lately. Instead of 1 or 2 on our shelves we pretty consistently have 6-10, even with people buying them.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. There are three stores in my town, each with 8-10 long boxed PSX titles. Nothing remotely rare (I checked), but enough to make a good dent in completing that specific a collection.

I usually find long box games about 2-4 at local game stores. Pretty much common games though. I did pick up Total Eclipse last weekend though in MINT condition for 2.00.

I actually have noticed a lot of longboxes in local Gamestops and EB's lately as well. For the majority of my collecting I saw maybe three or four grand total, but in the past two months I've managed to buy about 12 or so.

yes i have to agree after seeing maybe 1-3 per store normally for that last 2 years, as of this year they have been around 2 or 3 fold.

My local EB has had an 'influx' of longboxes as well. I picked up Discworld complete and minty fresh for $17.99. I also picked up a Rayman in lonbox as well for about $5. I was surprised as EB usually marks up the HTF games like Ogre Battle, Suikoden I and II, etc. I'm holding out for a Raiden Project to show up there one day.

Its good to see these games still coming in. It seems like all the local Gamestops are having fewer and fewer PSX games overall. My local EB is one of the few that still takes in DC, NES, SNES and Genny games.

There is only a few at my local shop, and the games are not that hot either, I decided to get the Ridge Racer longbox just 'cause I didn't have any.

You guys that are seeing them--are they the cardboard, the opaque plastic, or the clear plastic (Saturn compatible) kind?

I've noticed quite a few PS long box games as well lately. I'm only looking for Raiden so everything else bores me.

THE ONE, THE ONLY- RCM

I need to shop at different stores! I've got most of the longbox games already but there are a few common ones I'm hoping will turn up locally. I hope the trend some of you are seeing spreads to my neck o' the woods!

I'm not seeing anything personally, but I do know that around November of last year Oobgarm was able to pull down a fair amount of them for me in one fell swoop. Also realise that as newer systems come out (DS and PSP's ect.) people sell off their old stuff that they arnt playing anymore so they can afford the 'HOT' new toys.

It's because Gamestop is dumping their wharehose supply to its stores.

Just a quick note EB dosn't take genesis games in anymore :( but they still take all the other stuff.

I've only seen one long box ever at a gamestop. 90% of PSX games are loose in my area because of people's lack of care for their games.

When I first discovered PSX had long box games, they were at every GS and EB around. One had a dozen+ of them. It's where I found DOOM. Then after a few weeks, they all dried up. I only see them rarely now.
