View Full Version : Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter help
Another longshot...
Anyone have any luck getting through this game, specifically the space missions which are DAMN hard! I'm stuck at the end of the "Rustlers" mission, where I have to shoot down several fighters & dock on the freighter.
I just want to know if anyone succeeded, & how?
Is there a download available somewhere (such as an OPM disc) or timer-stopping cheat code to get me past this part?
& no, the gamefaqs guides dont help.

Kudos for you to get that far. The game didn't hold my interest enough to get past the second level. It wasn't horrible, but I have enough games that don't piss me off that I just couldn't go back to it again.
Yeah, but I'm somewhat of a completist & like to finish what I start. I think I may have to put the game aside & start/continue one of many others I have.
BTW, it's mission 5 I'm "stuck" on. I knew the game was somewhat subpar, but to me it showed promise...

I had no choice but to cheat..(Some cheats can be put in again to turn them off/letting you get past the hard parts.)
PS2

XBox

I wish there was a "timer deactivation" cheat as that's what causes me to fail the mission...8 minutes isnt enough time to get all those ships! (It's actually closer to 7 as you have to get to your ship!)
As for the gamefaqs codes, I tried entering the Invincibility code & it didnt work...I'll try the level select code though.

Back then I was looking for the same thing..("timer deactivation")...It would be so great if that could be done..
I HATE timers..The game would be more fun if it didn't have a Timed Missions.
It's been a long time since I've played the game..I remember one mission that was so hard I almost shelved the game ..a few times..
The mission was impossible,no matter how I did it...I had to use the cheats for the Xbox version ..
I forget how exactly I put them in but some were a pain...I think they needed to be put in "real fast"(fast button presses)..or I may have had to reload the game to try again..
All I know is when I finally got them in I didn't want to have to do it again, and was frustrated..
I know I did do all the missions.and the Impossible one I know I used Invulnerability,Infinite Ammo, and most likely .Double Damage...
I finished the mission by the skin of my teeth even with the cheats after numerous ties....I was so beat after that mission that it had me angry..I enjoyed the game all the way up to that part and hit a dead end that I felt was to impossible for even the makers of the game to do..
Finishing that level was a major feat..and I forget if it was the last level but I was so worn out by that level that I didn't want to play the game anymore..though I had a desire to Complete it..
"I think" I ran into lots of ships to blow them up and just kept pouring ammo into them..
A few months back my Brother In Law Called me about being stuck in the same game/PS2 version..(Forget about IT!!).whew,he couldn't get past where he was stuck and figure it's the same spot
Are you playing the PS2 or Xbox version?
PS2, & the gamefaqs codes dont work for me...I input them while holding the electro-cosh, paused & unpaused, slow, fast, medium- nothing works.
I just noticed, after re-checking the codes, the single post on the MG: BH board is about another player's codes not working either...

I guess your only option is to get a Gameshark..Or..
....... if you had a Sharkport 2....I still have one of these hooked up..
There may be a Game Save available for Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter

Well, before this gets buried too deep here, if anyone has a PS2 save of this game (or at least one that gets me past the Rustlers mission) on a mem card/disc, I'd be glad to pay reasonable S/H if you'd care to mail it to me...I'd mail it back, of course- no questions asked.
I'm a trustworthy guy- I have a 100% eBay rating, & check my sig for my Buy/Sell history.
Yes, this means THAT much to me.
c'mon gang...cant ANYONE help me out here??? :(
