Not to ruin it for you but at the end of the game Katamari gets shot in the face by a bushmaster 12 gauge as he justly deserves.

I thought the katamari was just that sticky ball that the dude rolls :P

Yeah, the Katamari is the ball. The Prince of the Cosmos is the guy you apparently have a beef with.

After looking at the screenshots... er... well, it looks like the exact same game, except with some new settings. Of course, I'll be picking it up anyway. That goes without saying.

I hope the game is a LOT bigger since it doesn't look like they really improved on anything graphics-wise. Not that that's a complaint on graphics, just that the game better be a LOT bigger/longer.

I guess its just me but I have not felt such burning rage towards a gaming franchise since Dance Dance revolution.

Its not even kinda realistic if some 5000 ft fruitcake asshole from space was having our planet rolled up there would be Boomers surfacing in the ocean and launching cruise missiles at him, Flights of Mig-29's SU-27's and F-22 raptors as the Worlds governments bonded together ID4 style to annhilate this menace. Flights of Spooky-130 airborne Artillery ships circling lobbing streamers of 30mm into this dude. Formations of B-52's so thick they darkened the sky dropping MOAB munitions, Battle ships racing in for main gun range.

No its Tokyo pop music cheesey crap with everyone on earth all happy to die.

Whats even worse, the premise for a decent game was present untill someone decided to pour sacharine and kitty gum drop heart flowers all over it and smear it with unicorn feces and whiskers on kittens.
I hate Japan.

Game creator Keita Takahashi has gone on the record as saying that his goal and intention in making Katamari Damacy was to make people smile. It was an intentionally happy game, and it was $20 upon release. If you've got that much anger and passion built up inside you, maybe you ought to focus on a real problem instead of bitching about a game that doesn't have missles.

Boy, Sothy. Tell us how you REALLY feel. Seriously, don't play it! It is still my favorite PS2 game to this day, and I will hapilly pay even $50 for the sequel (Thankfully it'll most likely be $20 anyway.) when it comes out.

I loved the music. I loved the graphics style. I love Japan! If I could, I'd live there. But so long as we have imports, I won't have to.

I can't wait for this game. I really want a release date.

I am looking foward to the DS version much more.

Just wanted to say, as someone who doesn't own a PS2 and has not yet played Katamari Damacy, I'm getting major "cult" vibes from this game. I mean the serious, shave-your-head-and-lock-yourself-in-an-armed-compound kind of cult. Woe unto Sothy, for he is not one of The Faithful. I'm a little frightened. Seriously, some guy in the Midwest is going to proclaim himself Prince of the Cosmos soon and found the United Church of the Katamari, and the rest of us will see the ATF burning you to cinders on the 11 o'clock news.

Must be one hell of a game...

Yeah guys. The screenshots that show solid evidence of fun new levels aren't exciting at all, I'm much more excited about the portable version that only exists as a name.

Actually, second look..

The PS2 controller's better suited. So I may have to get the sequel on the PS2 anyway, but nice to see them both on the Cube, though the controller's different. I think the PS2 has the only controller specially made for the game.

Can't wait to see it.

Also.. "Everybody Loves Katamari Damacy"? That makes me wonder if it is fake. Especially with no date on that page. Also, I hate to have to have one game under K and another under E. I HATE THAT! Especially with the original "Road and Track Present: The Need for Speed".

Honestly, I'm not some crazy Katamari fan. o_O I bought it a month or so after it came out, enjoyed playing through it, beat it, and I haven't really touched it much since. As luck would have it... I know this game has been talked about alot on this site, especially seeing a katamari pumpkin thing last October. While on lunch at the mall today my buddy said "Hey check this wierd game out" at Software Etc, $19.99, picked it up. I need a mental vacation anyways. I didn't know this was a sequel, but whatever. I'll be playing it tonight.
