Mildly entertaining.

Sad though, because I kind of wish it was true. :/

Did the masterminds are IGN come up with any april fool's "joke" that did not put Nintendo at the butt of the joke?
How about interviewing a person in a small town in Virginia that bought a PSP and it had no dead pixels?

chill out man
I actually thought of the NES accesories back when the classic series came out. I thought it would be cool to have a mini power pad

You gotta admit, Nintendo then and now did come out with some pretty neat accesories and whatnot. Shame most them never caught on.
Maybe i'll get a R.O.B. on ebay sometime...

Would have been nice... But honestly - How would you see the screen?
The original ROB sucked. You could play Gyromite just as easially with two controllers strapped together - Plus it was a lot easier and less time consuming!
Plus you didn't have to worry about little things spinning around the room!!!

I picked up R.O.B. on ebay 2 years ago after my original one broke. I LOVE it. It's too bad that there are only 2 games that supported it, and they both (gyromite & stack-up) have specific R.O.B. - so rob can't interact with Stack-up if you only have the Gyromite parts for R.O.B.
It's still a cool toy. Anyone notice R.O.B.'s cameo on the back of the Viewtiful Joe Gamecube box art?

I'll tell ya, Nintendo is going crazy with these upcoming Classic NES rereleases. Here's another one coming out soon:

I rather enjoyed the April Fool's joke over at http://www.natural-selection.org - claiming that the Natural Selection Half-Life mod would be coming out for the Nintendo DS. They had me, too - NS is far better than the original Half Life ever was, and is IMO one of the - if not THE - greatest multiplayer game of all time. The perfect blend of FPS / RTS (classic) or FPS / RPG (combat).
That game, quite frankly, would have rocked over the DS WiFi network. It's a shame it's just a joke, as the tagline on the update says: "Due to the impossibility of any independent developer getting a DS development kit, features of NS / DS subject to change."

I'd much rather see Diskun make a comeback (and a formal introduction to those of us in the US), myself.

Always wanted a R.O.B.
*sniff*... Don't even care if it works... All these great April Fools posts are just depressing me ('cause they're all really good ideas).
