That controller is a damn deadly weapon! Could you guys imagine two kids playing a 2 player game and one of them getting mad. That's almost as bad as SNL's Bag O' Glass.

Lunar 3 probably would've had more people going hehe. Or has that been done before?

I think announcing Lunars 3-12 would be hilarious.

Or just announcing any games at all. Is WD even still among the living?

Is there a site with all the great April Fools jokes out there? I hate trying to chase them all down.

www.homestarrunner.com has a great one today, and www.vgcats.com is selling something priceless. Tycho buried Gabe over at PA, or did Gabe bury Tycho? PvP completely forgot about the holiday. And I'm not sure, but 3Drealms has made Shadow Warrior source code available? But I have a feeling that's real.

I agree, last year's were all pretty "BOOM IN YA FACE" cool, like the one here at DP, unless I'm missing something....lot's of people just aren't trying this year.

I would seriously buy all 4 of those games and the system on launch day.

I am not kidding.

Don't you buy every new console on launch day?

But seriously, you would want a game like this?

"Travel to that special moment in time when dragons were real and people just like us magically lived on stars. A time when friendship, magic, and innocent budding love affairs between relatives was okay and actually kinda cute. Explore frightening filaments, traverse prominences, battle molten monsters, and gather information from the locals as you advance toward the explosive confrontation with the Solar Emperor himself! Exciting mental-driven combat enhanced with neural stimulation will keep you involved until the astounding Coronal Mass Ejection. SOLAR will hold your gaze and your imagination longer than you ever thought possible, and much longer than most doctors recommend. Get ready to be blind for life!"

Blinded for life by a video game?

Would it be worth it to you?

Who would want to mess with a controller that looks like it was modeled from a giant piece of broken glass?

In this one board I go to often, an amusing April Fools experiment occurred, but it ended up pissing off several members, so I am in doubt it will be tried again. Aw well. I never was very fond of this holiday anyhoo.

It would have been awesome if we got something like that panzer dragoon orta 2 trailer. Now that was a great fake.

The only problem with April Fools is that for those of us who are funny and sarcastic *EVERYDAY* April Fools tends to take some the thunder away because everyone is expecting it.

Sorta like all these jokes really, they aren't effective because people are aware of what day it is :/

It's hard to do a true April Fool's prank, but it's possible. I haven't done one for a couple of years, because I really, really pissed off some people last time. Apparently some people don't consider April Fool's Day a free pass to be a total jerk for 24 hours. But I disagree!

X-Play had my favorite non-personal April Fool's joke today. It was hilarious. And they even had me going for a while.

When I was a kid, I would rubber-band the handle down on the nozzle-sprayer attached to the kitchen sink, so that when my mom, groggy and half-asleep still, turned the faucet on, she got a sprayful of water in the face.

She never remembered, and I finally gave up on it just because it was getting sad heheh

To continue the topic derailement, I think the problem, on-line anyway, is everyone and their dog does AFD gags now so everyone is expecting it. Websurfing on April 1st leads one to be more like "what next" than "didn't see that coming."

It wouldn't really blind you. :P

But yeah, I'd buy that, why the hell not! :) I don't buy EVERY new console, I passed on the N-Gage and may pass on the Xbox 2 as well.

We need to start a non-April April Fool's Day. How about 11/9?
