Any must own Mega CD games?

Were any games released on the Mega CD in Japan that never came to the U.S. that should really be experienced?


I know that Earnest Evans is one Mega CD game that never came out here on CD. I'm not sure if it's that good. People always talk about the great Saturn games that were only released in Japan or the great PC Engine games that only came out in Japan, but nobody talks about any great Mega CD games that only came out in Japan.

I would have to assume that there was some good games that never made it over here. Maybe some shmups or something like that.

Luckily the Sega CD got most of the good games for the system. However, there are a few good RPGs and adventure games that never came out in the US, like Shadowrun and Arcus 1-2-3.

Ernest Evans has music by Motoi Sakuraba of Star Ocean/Tales fame. I'm going to have to track down the CD version of that sometime.
