The 17 Sega All*Stars cases have been talked about before on these boards, but we've never examined if the discs are actually changed. I didn't notice this until after the Toys R Us sale when some friends bought the three All Stars 2K1 releases that some of the releases do _not_ have the Sega All Stars logo on the disc. Can anyone help me confirm / update this list:

Crazy Taxi - Has All Stars Logo *
House of the Dead 2 - Has All Stars Logo *
Hydro Thunder - No Logo *
Marvel Vs Capcom - Has All Stars Logo *
NBA 2k - Has All Stars Logo *
NBA 2k1 - No Logo *
NFL 2k - Has All Stars Logo *
NFL 2k1 - No Logo
NHL 2k - Has All Stars Logo *
NFL Blitz - No Logo *
Power Stone - Has All Stars Logo *
Ready To Rumble - No Logo *
Sega Bass Fishing - Has All Stars Logo *
Sonic Adventure - Has All Stars Logo *
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - Has All Stars Logo *
Virtua Tennis - Has All Stars Logo *
World Series Baseball 2K1 - Has All Stars Logo *

* = confirmed by a second source

Thanks!

Thank you! Updated!

Anyone know if the non-logoed ones are the exact same disc art as the non Sega All Stars packaging?

I can confirm these games are correct on your list.

Crazy Taxi - No All Stars Logo
NBA 2k1 - No All Stars Logo

On a side note, I prefer the DC AS design over all of the other similarly themed games on other systems. It's a lesser of all evils type of fondness.

Personally, the Sega All Stars rank with the Nintendo Player's Choice re-releases as my favorite looking secondary packaging. I never liked the white bars so much, but always liked the black, and games like Hydro Thunder and Marvel Vs. Capcom just look cooler as an All Stars case than their originals, in my opinion.

I'll be able to update Power Stone sometime next week myself :D Now I only need to find Ready 2 Rumble to have them all :) THPS is sealed though, and I'm not planning on opening it to check the disc ;)

Updated again.

Could anyone scan a picture of their copy of Crazy Taxi with it? I'd like to see it to know if I need to start a new DC hunt ;)

Does no one on here own Ready 2 Rumble All Stars?

Here's a scan of mine with a SAS logo:

Also, for those that have copies without SAS logos... If you bought your copy used then it could be possible that your copy was switched out with a non-SAS copy, since places such as EB and GameStop kept the discs together, seperate from the cases. I've had that happen to me numerous times with PS1 and PS2 Greatest Hits games.

Also, if you're looking for Dreamcast SAS variations, I found this one this morning:

That's interesting about Crazy Taxi... New disc to start looking for :D

At least with some of them, I have seen people open the games in front of me and pull out non-logo-ed games. I watched two NFL and NBA 2K1's happen right in front of me...

What I'm wondering is if Sega didn't do a new logo until they ran out of discs to package, which would lead to variations of all of them, and give me more things to find ;)

Thanks for the scan!

And interesting about the stickers. I recently got a copy NBA 2K from EB and it came with two manuals, both All-Stars but both at least different in numbers, if not more (haven't searched yet). It is pretty interesting to me!

I bought a SAS copy of NBA2K at a Dollar Tree store a few years back. It looks just like a regular release, except it has a second manual shrinkwrapped in with the game. I haven't opened it yet, but I'm assuming it's a Canadian release and that second manual is written in French.

As of yesterday night, my Sega All*Stars set is complete! That leaves me with less than a handful of variations for all of the US Dreamcast games.

I just wanted to let everyone know I have updated the list above, and I now believe it to be 100% correct. Thanks again to everyone who has helped :)

I'll take a picture of them all together sometime soon and post it :D
