I get for some months now the DP Wire in my mail twice a month, and 1) I have to paise it, and 2) encourage everyone to get it. It was about time.
DP Wire is impressive, and delivers great information.
First, you have all the new releases chronologically listed for each system in a spreadsheet which gives a nice overview. (System, release date, publisher, price) Moreover, you get a list of pre-order goodies which is incredibly helpful for collectors and gamers alike.
Second, you get a summary of important news of the game industry.
Third, you get a great review of a current game in 'GameSpotlight,' and a great retro-review which helps to fill the personal gap of overlooked games.
Last but not least, there is one interview with a collector from the DP site which is always interesting and entertaining.
Impressive is the graphical layout. Everything is clearly listed and arranged, you never get lost when you try to look something up; every information is right there. It is amazing how much information and helpful hints can be given in an email message.
I thought it is about time to thank the entire DP Wire staff. This is a lot of work, it is very well done, very helpful, and it is for free! Thanks, guys, great stuff!
