First, VGXPO is not PhillyClassic.

And therein is the Kiss of Death for PhillyClassic fans.

I just want to let everyone know that Ralph Baer will only be attending VGXPO on Saturday, November 12. He'll be there all day but he must return home Saturday night.

Bill Kunkel will be at the show both days.

I am goin to be there, at least one day, gotta get some good deals.... hey, we should all wear something to distinguish ourselves so we will be able to recognize that were from here, like a pink scarf, or a dildo hat, ala "Orgazmo".... but probably a little more toned down like a name tag maybe. Just some thoughts. :D

The reality is, I doubt any of those companies would bother spending time and $ going to a show that's not devoted entirely to games. Even if it was, do they really need another E3-type show in the U.S.? There's a reason E3 did away with having the show open to the public- it doesn't generate any $ for them.

A few years ago, there was a group that was going to do a touring consumer videogame show (I forget the name now). They even got a booth at E-3 to promote it. When I asked the E-3 people what their thoughts were, they said "If the game companies wanted to do a consumer show, don't you think they would come to us to do it?"

Makes sense.

Unfortunately, I don't see any of the shows out there getting anything more than minor support from the big game companies.

Digital Life is a consumer show and while a few big companies like MIcrosoft, Sega, Namco, and Nintendo support it it's nothing compared to E3. So I guess there already is a huge consumer show in the east.

That said I hope this show is fun. I live 5 minutes outside NYC and i'm coming down saturday. It's a shame that they want to go so big. PC5 was my first PC show and i thought it was fun as hell. Lots of arcade cabs, games to buy, and good people. I hope they don't fuck it up. Perhaps next year they'll get rid of NBC.

I really don't want a show aimed towards causals.

I just ordered my table - better late than never, eh?

So, if you're going, look for me.

I'll have some working Saturns, Dreamcasts, SNES, NES, 2600 Jrs, and a whole bunch of broken consoles and controllers going for cheap!

If you want, shoot me a PM, and I'll give you my cell number if you want to try to find me at the show.

Wow, cool I, Robot. Been playing that on MAME quite a bit lately. Tempest is always sweet and it's cool that Gorf will be there too. People can compare it to the Jag version in development ;)

I've got 2 Model 1's, and 2 Model 2's - all in great condition. I forget which model is which, but one of the ones with the 'round buttons' has a mod chip in it.

I also have 4 broken Saturns that need some help.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested. I'll have a table at the show.

I'll be there also.

I'm at the Jersey Shore, so you figure like an hour drive. Worth it to play arcade games, even if i fear the worst from this show.

Tholly, good stuff doesn't even begin to describe what I am bringing this year. Imagine what you saw last year. Then double it. I'm not kidding. I brought less than 10 systems last year, I have over 30 I am bringing this year. Hundreds of carts, good stuff to fill your collection, or begin a new collection with a great starter set. Everyone on DP needs to stop by my table and introduce themselves. I can't stress that enough. See everyone this weekend!

I managed to sell all my extra stuff on ebay, so I won't have to worry about peddling anything to passers by. Instead, I'll have a pocket full of cash ready to go!

Vendors: I want SMS and Saturn games. Also, I just got a NES, so I'll be looking for mostly common, fun to play games for that.

And I never turn my nose up at a needed 2600 game.

I'll be the one playing Track and Field with the 3-year-old.

Then come on over to Grandamchandler's table. I will be helping him out in addition to selling some commons and rares. I will have 50+ NES games for only $1 a piece. Only thing they need are a little cleaning, and I will guarantee that if they don't work, let me know and I'll refund your money. (you know where to find me ;))

I will have some interesting rare games as well so those of you looking for something unique stop on by.

Also, let me mention that Chris will have a ton of systems and good games :)

Overall, I liked it..

I was a bit disappointed though, they said it would be bigger and better.. Defiantly smaller in my opinion.. Were the tables expensive? It was free, so i cant complain.

I purchased A Sega saturn model 2 system, christmas nights, and wacky races..

Very nice tables overall.. I met the guy from the apprentice too :D
