I was watching Attack Of The Show last night and they had this game showcased, looked excellent, so I decided to download the demo.

If you've got a PC that can run this, and love arcade style racing games (it's fast, stunt style tracks and beautiful settings and graphics...you'll love this game.

Download the demo and let me hear your thoughts on it, I'm waiting for a release now so I can purchase the full game. I'm hearing 4-8-05 for UK and MAY (ugh) for US.

I just downloaded it and it's not that bad of a game. Actually, it's pretty fun. I might pick this up when it's released.

I still haven't gotten around to getting TrackMania yet! But it's on my wishlist.

FYI:

Apparently a new version of Trackmania, as well as some earlier versions and expansions, is now available for FREE download - not a demo, the real thing.

TrackMania Sunrise is the only PC game I bought last year.

An amazingly fun game, it even works (graphically crippled a bit) on my beat up "old" 1.6 GHz P4, 512 RAM, and a 32 Meg video card...

Thanks for the heads up on the download

If you've ever played the classic PC game "Stunts" (believe it was called "4D Driving" in the UK) then you'll love Trackmania Sunrise as it's basically Stunts dropped into the realm of modern gaming.

I played the Demo a while back. Very fun indeed.

Shouldn't this be in Modern Gaming?

Well. Now you've got me interested. My old Tandy and I 'loved' Stunts.

I always thought of it as a fun version of Hard Drivin'.

This game is pretty fun indeed. Played through the first Trackmania game. It doesnt beat the good old PC game "Stunts" tho :)

Its in classical gaming because the thread is almost 1 year old. When it was made there wasnt any modern game section.

I usually love these kind of games, but unfortunately this free game comes with a catch: It also installs Starforce. Why a free game should come with one of the worst (and annoying) copy-protection in use today isn't totally clear to me...
