View Full Version : SMS carts... are these of any rarity?
I recently picked up some SMS carts that I think are store demo carts. I was wondering if anyone new if they were rare by chance? I've got a pick of the backs and of them, and a pick of what the front looks like.

Also, the pins inside of them seem to be a silver color, instead of the copper looking ones. I've tested them now, and it seems that they work just the same as any SMS game. Any feedback on this?

Damn Nice Find there mate! How much did they cost you?
ANagrama might be interested in these, and Raccoon Lad!
I fixed the pics to show on the page.
I believe those were $3.99 USD apiece. I went ahead and grabbed all the ones they had, since I've never seen that before. I guess this would be the place to find out about them.

What does it say on the back of those? The glare makes them hard to read.

Yeah, they're the type of carts that you find inside the store demo units. AFAIK, there's no differences to the released games.
They show up every now and again, and usually sell in the $10-$20 range (each).

Seems to be space harrier, shooting gallery, choplifter and great baseball or something. Cant see the last because of the flash.

Yeah, they're neat to have, but nothing collectors fight eachother over.
Unless one of them was Fantasy Zone, and someone else tried bidding agianst me.
... but then again, I've focussed my collecting on Fantasy Zone only for a while now.

You're right. It's those four games and the VERY illegible one is Gangster Town.
Thanks for the info guys, you've been extremely helpful.

Awesome find, I would have loved to have found some of these. Would be even better if I had a store display unit as well ;D.
