I don't even have the game yet but was wondering if those Memory cards on Ebay are legit. I just thought that it would be cool to have maximum firepower and stuff.

I bet they are, if you are talking about pre-loaded gamecards. It's not very hard for someone to download a "complete" save off of gamefaqs.com and throw it on a memory card, if it can get them sales on eBay.

I'd say go for it, or better yet, get a drive to transfer saves to/from your PC.

I've been looking for drives like that and all I could find was the dexdrive for N64 and PSX. Where can I get one for GCN or PS2?

I agree , I have played half way through a game in the past and then used a cheat code and it ruined the gaming experience IMO.

I absolutely loved the entire experience of RE4. One of the great things about it was how accessible it was -- this wasn't like the earlier RE games where you panicked about weapons and where to save. I'm not the world's best video game player (or anywhere near it!! ;), but I was able to

a) finish RE4 (I played non-stop for days on end) and
b) do so without ANY cheats or walk-throughs

There's NO need to buy a pre-loaded save card for this game. It's not impossible at all on the Normal setting. If you cheat, you'll be deprived of what was easily one of the best times you'll ever had playing a video game.

Using the super weapons you can unlock in RE4 really reduces the fun and intensity of the game, mainly because they are so powerful and tend to have infinite ammo. You can waste bosses with one hit in some cases. However, if you earn them normally (after about 3 or so rounds) they are perfect for quick play-throughs for people who already know all the surprises in store and who just want to relive the experience in a short amount of time. Sort of like a Cliffs Notes version of the game.

Agreed, big-time. Even if you get this little save file, use it only AFTER beating the game. Going through a second time on your own save file is even pretty fun. The only not-fun thing is saving up to get every little extra bonus weapon. That might be worth just using the save file for...
