I can't find a thread about this game, which surprises me.
I played this game the other day at EBGames, and loved it enough to go back and pick it up even though I just got a PSP. I am definitely playing this game more than my PSP.
This game spans the first three episodes of Star Wars, and plays much like Baldour's Gate or Dungeon Seige. At the beginning of the game you take control of Qui-Gon Jin and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but you quickly pick up additional characters such as Jar-Jar Binks, Queen Amidala, droids, etc. The game supprts cooperative two-player action, with a second player being able to drop in or out at any time. As if all of this wasn't cool enough, everything in the game is made out of legos. All of the characters and ships that Lego sells in the stores are faithfully re-created in the game. When you destroy objects or enemies, they break up into their component Lego Pieces.
I really can't say enough about this game. It is truly good, and I think that this is the kind of game that will be in-demand when the PS2 becomes a classic system. Based on what I have played so far, I would easily give this game a 9/10. This game is original enough to not be "just another Star Wars game". The only knock I could give this game is that the graphics could be better. The game looks like it came out a few years ago,and it even comes on a regular blue CD-ROM instead of a DVD.

Jedi characters can use the force to move objects and force enemies aside.

Obi-Wan battles Darth Maul at the end of Episode 1.

I played the demo the other day, and I must agree, this game is just plain fun.
I can't wait to snag a copy for consoles, or possibly PC.

I really think that this game should have been a launch title for the PSP. The cooperative gameplay along with the number of characters in the party at one time would have been great for ad-hoc wireless gameplay. Id like to see this released for the PSP at some point.
It would also be cool if they made a sequel for this game that spanned episodes 4-6.

I've been watching videos of this on Cinematech for awhile now, the detail is amazing :)
It really looks like they took the time to put together everything with legos and then design it for the game.

I saw a trailer for this the other day and it looks like fun. I'll definitely pick it up eventually, but right now I have other games I want more. Maybe I'll get it after I see Episode III.

Star Wars Lego is fun and funny. My wife bought it for her and now we can't get enough of it. The two player is fun and really comes in handy when fighting some of the sith lords.

Agreed. I've completed Episode I, and I have to say that it was hard beating Darth Maul by myself. The computer-controlled characters are not much help. I was tempted to go get my g/f to grab the other controller. I think that the game is geared more towards two-player gameplay. Imagine playing it on a PSP in an ad-hoc game with 3 or 4 people. Man that would be cool.

From everyone's review on here, they say its great. Printed reviews give it average. I'll trust you folks on it. BTW, what's its price-point, and what systems is it available for?

Its available for PS2 and GBA. I havent played the GBA version though and Im sure that it's completely different.
The price for PS2 is $39.99. I would imagine that the GBA version goes for $29.99.

Does the game seem easy to you also?

Easy in that there isn't really any penatly for dying other than losing a thousand or so credits. I think that the game is more about figuring out the puzzles to move on and collecting all of the hidden items to complete the little lego ships. Episode 1 is pretty easy all the way through, but I am finding episode 2 to be more challenging.

I was avoiding it because it was Ep. 1-3 which I don't care for at all. However...if it's THAT fun....

how would It compare with streets of rage 2 ,bare knuckle 3 ,double dragon 2 nes or super double dragon
looks alright, but money is tight at the moment, how is the replay value? very important for me. I haven't touched Doom3 or Half life 2 since I finshed them very disapointing, I played farcry a couple of times...

Doesnt compare properly with those games. It is a hack and slash, not a beat em up.
Looks like it has lots of replay value due to all the hidden and unlockable stuff.

Im getting this one by the end of the month (hopefully can find a Pre-owned) but this game looks and sounds to be very fun with great co op - I loved jedi power battles for the playstation with its co op and this game seem to look similar (atleast jedi beat'em up style). Cant wait to give this game a try,

Just as a warning, I am playing through Episode III right now, and it may detract from someones level of enjoyment when seeing the movie the first time. In other words, spoilers.

I've heard nothing but good things about the game. But, sadly, I'm one of those vocal "Ep I, II, III is teh suxors" people, so I can't in good conscience pick this up.

Discovered going into Free Mode after the demo level lets you switch between other characters (TF battle droid, R2-D2, Jar-jar, etc) and do things you couldn't before.

I'm not too big a fan of Star Wars or Legos, but I've got to admit that game looks pretty damn cool. It has a cubivore-esque vibe to it. I'll definitely pick it up once it drops in price a bit.

Right, you have to do that in order to collect everything, because some items in the levels are not accessible by the characters that you use in story mode. Most of the characters are pretty useless, but characters like Darth Maul and Yoda are great. Even the hated Jar Jar is awsome because he can jump higher.
