So I'm at a crossroad right now. I have a few games I want to pick up, with only limited funds to spend. So here is where I need some input.

Of these games listed, which ones should I get?

Doom 3 LE
Timesplitters: Future Perfect - Played it, loved it
Lego Star Wars (XBOX)
Digital Devil Saga
Oddworld's Stranger
Shadow of Rome

I think it's really between the first 3, but i'm not sure what to grab of them? I know on the Lego Star Wars my brother i'm sure would play it with me, so i'm sure he'd be cool with that. Should I grab Doom 3 LE first just because it is the LE edition, and that Timesplitters won't be going anywhere anytime soon?

I imagine Doom 3 CE will be around, just as Halo 2 CE is now. The sore I work at is getting 44 CE, and 22 regular, so I'm not sure I'd jump on that due to a "it won't be here later" issue.

Lego Star Wars will probably be the first of the three to drop in price.

Though I haven't played it, I have heard nothing good about Shadow of Rome.

Same advice here - don't get the LE Doom 3 yet, unless you're getting the game anyway. Then you might as well get the LE, of course.

But I agree, soon it'll be down to $40, and before that long it'll be about $30, where I'm guessing it will stay for a while (like the aforementioned Halo 2 CE - I paid $32 shipped on ebay for Halo 1 and the CE of Halo 2. Of course, that was with a Buy It Now :P)

Gosh darnit, all of those are valid arguments. Probably Devil, since i'm a avid enthuthiast about RPGs. Well EB has some trade-in deals on Doom 3, so maybe I'll take advantage of that, get rid of some of my old junk, and get it for next to nothing. Guess we'll have to see how much of my funds i'm willing to spend. Thanks, and I'll let you all know later on what I truly decide.

Digital Devil Saga, most definitely. It's not going to drop in price anytime soon, if at all. Also, If previous Atlus games are any indication, It's also going to be tough to find in the future. And only the 1st print run of it comes with the soundtrack CD, or so I've heard.

Lego Star Wars. Easily. The other two games are not particularly appealing to me.

Well it seems like local EB gets its share of hardcore RPG players in, then its left with boatloads of afterstock that never sells. I found the LE version of Phantom Brave the other day there. New, had it since launch day. Same as Nocturne and others.

I'd rent them all (or some) then decide. I'd say all of them will be around for a long time with most dropping in price anyways.

I'd say Oddworld. But it will probably sink in price before too long seeing as Oddworld Inhabitants basically disappeared as we know it due its low sales. Shame.

Most Oddworld games seem to only be found every once in a blue moon, or at least a tad bit harder to find than most. I've heard there is so much stuff you can do in the game. Probably one of those i'll get next.
