Well, I'm on the hunt for a new PSP case now, mainly because of the small amount of stories I have been hearing about the Sony case giving small scratches.
Anyways, you guys have any ideas? I know most people here love to keep their stuff in the best condition, so I thought I'd ask here.
yeah im hunting a quality case as well, unfortunatly my psp fell victim to the official case and has some scratches now :(

Get the Nakiworld case if you can find it. It cost me twenty bucks at Gamestop with a car charger, screen protector, and analog stick nub. I use the case and the car charger. It is one of those clamshell type ones that zip around the perimeter of the system. Grey in color and kind of a hybrid soft/hard shell. It is super soft inside and has a separator in between the system and the little pockets which have space for about 4 UMD's. I also lay my little screen cloth over the system when I close it. No scratches yet. :D

HOT WATER BURN BABY!
I just recently bought this one. Although it's pretty pricy, it protects your PSP like a condom. 8-) It comes withe the silicone jacket and a screen protector.

Logitech is shipping the PlayGear Pocket PSP case next month, I believe; $20 and worth every penny. It's a typically first-rate Logitech product.

I'm looking at the Logitech one personally, but that condom one is pretty solid as well.
I'll probably end up with the Logitech. I mean, I like soft, but this Logitech just looks so solid.

before sony, has there ever been a game company whose first party peripherals damage hardware?

The $10 Intec case looks like it may protect my PSP, although I kind of doubt it. I'm going to use it until that Logitech one is released.

That logitech eal definitely looks like the way to go. I guess I may just leave my PSP out on a shelf until it comes out, as I certainly dont want the first party case scratching it up.

Well, I've used the first party and so far, it's all good. When I get home this weekend, I'm gonna put my cloth over the screen, then store it, and then wait til next week when I get the Logitech.

I havent had any problems yet wither, but now I'm paranoid about it. I dont want a single scratch on my PSP.

Heh, first, nice Pope avatar.
Second, yeah, once I heard of these scratches, I started getting REALLY paranoid. I know the feeling.
Plus, I can't do shit til friday, because I'm at school without it. Ugh, my mind is going nuts.

Nobody has mentioned the Pelican one? It works GREAT. :D

I've got the pelican one that's just a cover that folds over the top of it (like a DS, but w/o a screen). That works great. Unfortunately, I've found that keeping the screen 100% scratch free is IMPOSSIBLE, no matter what you try. I've got quite a few scratches on it already, and I haven't even touched the damn screen. You can't see them unless it's in the right light, but still.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, how do you feel about/deal with it?

what about soft tranperant plastic crap they put on mocrowaves, dvd player THE XBOX for crying out loud....
You know it looks like crap when it gets scratched up but peel it off and blammo its still minty.
I knew that was gonna be a problem for this thing but it seems early to have people having problems already.. I can see kids scratching them up but im sure it aint like adult DP forum members got them in their jeans pockets.

I'm scared of condoms. I don't like the feel of them. Any chance the PSP condom will break and liquid crystal display will spray everywhere?
Sorry, it was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw that! :D

Oh, do you mean the actuall screen itself? On the very day I got my PSP my friend and I also went to EB and picked up Hori screens for our units and put them on right away. They work better then anything else cause of easily applying -- one tab to get it lined up and a second when you're ready. The combo of that and my Pelican armor guard has worked great, as well as keeping the PSP inside my Intec case with my games and the rest of my accesories.

Does the Hori protectors have adhesive on it?

Not sure what you mean. Check one out at your local EB or GameStop. Only $5. :)

I got the Pelican Starter kit. I like the case, because it has room for a fair amount of umd's and the inner case that protects the PSP feel really soft. It comes with a car charger, usb cable, case, and umd plastic cases, all for $30.

Still not totally sure what you mean, but no, it's just a very plain sticky piece of plastic. Nothing came off it.

Well, sometimes screen protectors, when taken off, leave some adhesive, and that's a bitch to get off.
Some screen protectors, like Hori's DS ones, don't do that, and they're great.

Well, if Hori's for the DS don't, then this one for the PSP should not either. ;)

I also got the Pelican screen armor. It's cheap ($9.99) and screws onto the top of the PSP so it's sturdy. And it comes with 4 UMD snap-on covers.

I was looking everywhere for the Logitech version. I didn't realize it hadn't come out yet until I saw zmeston's post.

I also have the face armor and it's great but be sure to never use the UMD covers; they scratch the plastic of the UMDs like hell.

I'd jump on that case, but the price isn't listed (must be expensive?) and the shipping will probably kill me. Bouncing around in transit and all... LOL

lol, that was an option, but then I would have to buy stuff from Canuckland. Oh dear.
Anyways, I ended up with an Intec soft case instead of the Logitech. I like it. I like it alot.
