i was just adding games to my collection list and i noticed that the legend of zelda ocarina of time for the n64 is listed twice

i didnt even look, because i was under the impression that dp didnt list variations as different titles....i thought we used the description area to mention variations

I think in order to get the gold cart, you had to pre-order the game.

...and stores had extra copies and of course preowned at EB, Gamestop, etc. as well as eBay

Come to think of it, I might've came across a gold cart at EB Games some time ago.

I know that there are several different versions of the game (1.0, 1.1, etc.), apparent through different roms I have seen floating around. And I'm not sure about this, but I think that the gold cart may be an earlier version than the grey one, and have some minor differences, such as more glitches. I'm not sure if this would merit keeping the two separate, assuming that this is true, but I just felt the need to post it.

You did not have to preorder the game to get a gold cart, I watched my friend purchase his from Best Buy.

differences like that would still just be listed in the description section.

now, the same game, but different systems would be listed individually

i would have to say that the gold version (bought on release day) is probably close to glitch free (ive beaten it 3 times w/ 100% completion)
