I'm possibly going to trade for an O2 system that "needs a new rf cable". Not being familiar with these, I don't know if that is a big deal or not. Would replacing one be too tough?

As someone who did this Hack before....this is not a big deal. The Other end of the cord is literarly..just plugged into the inside of the system. You Unplug it..and can plug a new one in with no problem.
Theres no Soldiering...or cutting..or anything out of the ordinary required. Simply unscrew... replace..screw back together.

I alwasy find it a bit silly when someone has to pipe in just to repeat something, but... :hmm:

I also find it silly someone sees the need to double post without editing the orignal post instead. :D

You can hit Deathskull Labs and find a really easy composite AV mod also. Just solder the cable in, no components needed.
Yeah, no big deal. As for the stupid double post, that's DPs FOrum f'ing up. I did an edit, and it posted it again. :hmm:
If that's the Deathskull site I remember, it doesn't show it very well. Just my two bits...
