Rise of Kasai

Man dont tell me this is going to be a sleeper hit like the original, Mark of Kri. It is purely a masterpeice. I just bought it today and so far it is either just as good or even better than the first. The gameplay is the same as before. The battle system is flawless like before. The story telling is just as captivating. The graphics have had a nice upgraded but are a bit darker than before. The art stylings and cinematics are just as good as before but have been adjusted to fit the darker tone within the graphics. And the amazing sound and voice overs from the first are still in this one.

So far i have to say its worth the $40 i paid just like the original. grab a copy if you can, it won't disappoint in my opinion.

Weird, cause the reviews I read/saw all said that the control was clunky as hell and the AI was crap, and the level design obviously had online play inteded and was too minimal. I'm confused. I loved Mark of the Kri...

well as a better response (didnt have time to go indepth) let me explain the reasons that magazines may have rated it that way. First of all the control is exactly the same as the original. no better no worse. it is the same scheme as before.

The levels dont seem sparse at all. i think they are scaled a little better than the last one and allow you to take in more of the games overall atmosphere since the environments, although linear in nature still, are a lot more expansive. The enemy numbers within the environment seem to be a good consistent number and allow for good pacing with in the levels. I think the reviews thought it was sparse due to there being more room to move (i see no problem in this).

Out of curiosity, what reviews did you read on it?
