Problem with Dualshock2 and Star Ocean 2

I think i've had this problem with other games, but my main problem is with SO2

I'll be running on the overhead map, or in a town (using the analog stick), i'll let go and he keep walking slowly to one side.

I'm really getting tired of this, it's a new controller too. Is this just common for this game? Or should I bring the controller back?

I've never had that problem with SO2. It's probably a controller problem. :(

At least if it's a new controller, then hopefully you should be able to take it back and exchange it without a problem.

That happens to me sometimes with controllers, just try swirling the analog stick a few times. It usually clears it up for me.

I sure hope so. I've had bad luck with PS2 controllers so not only did I keep the receipt, but I kept the packaging :/

I also noticed that one of the 9 pins was missing in the controller connector.

I usually mess around with the stick when I have problems like that Xantan, but to no avail.

Oh yeah, that happens to me constantly with SO2. Doesn't even bug me anymore. The only thing I'm concerned about is maybe it'll trigger a crash, since I believe the game freezes up more when using the analog support.

My controller is just beat up, though. I don't know why, but I always tend to use the worst of my 3 Dual Shock controllers. o_O

I've played SO2 through more times through than any other game, ever. Yet, I've never had that happen. Sounds more like a controller problem really.

To only truly consistent glitch I've found in SO2 is that the game sometimes freezes after leaving a random battle in Fienal. Happens to me about every other playthrough.
