Went out thrifting here for the first time in ages - I was inspired
by a coworker who said he found a pile of MegaDrive games for
25 cents each a couple weeks back.

After hitting 5 thrift stores across the south side of my fabulous
city of Perth, this is the result:

boxed Hanimex Invaders cart, $AUS1

a working "I Choose You Pikachu", $AUS3 in a bag with a couple of
other teddy bear toys I immediately donated back

assorted books for $2-3, none game related

a whanging headache

Also checked out a TRU, and they had jack, except for
one of those 4 in 1 Gamecube Prima guides (covers
Pikmin, SSB Melee, Wave Race and Luigi's Mansion) for
$AUS3.. I was briefly tempted by Lord of the Rings the
Third Age for GC for $AUS30 new, though.

Finally, at a Harvey Norman store (chain store here in Australia
that sells furniture, electrical, and some video games),
I scored 7 new shrinked N-Gage games for $AUS5.01 each:
MLB Slam, Super Monkey Ball x 2, Puyo Pop, Puzzle Bobble Vs x 2
and Moto GP

Never has so much been written about such little for so little
entertainment value :/

Anyone out there seeing cheap N-Gages themselves? I know
I've read about the occasional cheap game find...

I bought PB vs and Monkey ball from Dick Smith Electronics for $9 each. That was at least 3 months ago, and since then they havent discounted much. might have to check if my Harvey norman has any N-Gage games though.

Although, the DS isn't for me, it's for my little brother as a going away present. He's travelling Europe in August and I couldn't pass up the DS, $70 off the retail price! Now I just have to find games for it.

Well i went to get my DS today and im pissed off big time, Dead Pixel!
I was actually able to test it in the shop, however the Dead Pixel didnt show up on the Main screen as the pixel wasnt being used, it was later on when i tried a game when i got home, theres 1 red pixel in the near middle... Call me fussy, but if im paying £100 odd for this i expect it to work 100% and be perfect to me, isnt that what its meant to be?
However Mario 64 is nice and Metroid is unbelievable!

Apart from that i got some import DC games, all 80p again! and yes, even Capcom Vs SnK was 80p!

Also some woman was selling a Megadriver today in Gamestation and didnt get offered much for her games so i bought the DIsney Double Pack one off her for £2 and she gave me all the other loose ones for free :D I already have Cool Spot and Home Alone so they will be going in my Trade Box...
This asshole behind the counter started being a twat when i asked if the woman was selling the games, its their fault for overpricing Retro stuff... Fools...

Man im so pissed... i cant play the DS properly without staring at that Red blob, its discusting! Excuse my slight language, im not normally liek this, i swear LOL

I hit a (very) small used game shop in town that I hadn't been into before. Very pleased. It was clean, organized, and the guy behind the counter was more than eager to help out. Even takes "requests" via email for specific items. While I was there, I grabbed a bunch of boxed complete (well, except for the little slice of sytrofoam at the bottom, that is) NES games that he just got in:

The dirt mall was kinda disappointing... I saw lots of games, but they were either sports titles or ones I already had. Well, the weather was beautiful today, so I really didn't mind all that much. Just nice to get out and enjoy the sun.

Hello Everyone,

Pretty good day for me. Nothing too special, mostly future trade bait. Everything was pretty cheap, just how i like it ;) . Notable finds include my first ever SMS Card (F-16), 'Acme All Stars' for the Mega Drive which id didnt even know existed, a mint Sonic Shuffle, a weird 4 in 1 Pirate Mega Drive game and a ton of GameBoy stuff.

Its pretty cool isnt it. The 4 games on the cart are Bare Knuckle, Alein Storm and the other two i cant make out.

Oh yeah, i forgot to tell you max330, Meteos arrived, its really cool, very complicated. But enjoyable.

Small but sweet. The label on Lightening Force does have a bit of a rip on the bend but I had to have this game. I'll just have to be on the look out ofr a better conditioned game in the future. Also, the cart plastic looks like it went through a grinder :P

Picked up Untold Legends for the PSP for about $36 after tax (my friend lets me use his employee discount at the VG store he works at.) It's an OK game. I wanted something that I could get more involved in. I had Wipeout and Lumines, which are both great games, but they are pick up and play games. I wanted something more immersive. Untold Legends is that, but it isn;t all that great. Im going to hurry up and finish this game so I can sell it and buy MVP baseball.

Stopped in a Gamestop I haven't been to in awhile and looked around in the PS1 section. Somehow I stumbled upon a decent looking copy of Tales of Destiny for $19.99. Having picked up 2 awhile back, I've been looking for this one.
