I recently bought a GBA game on Ebay. In the description there was a pic of the game with box, but when I recived it it was only the cart.

I e-mailed the seller about this, but havnt recived any answer. I would never buy the game if I knew it was cart only.
Would you give negative or neutral feedback?

General rule of thumb is that if it doesn't specifically say it comes with the box then don't expect it to come with a box.

BTW, always post links to the auction in that you're speaking of if its already over.

Email him again..

No answer=negative.
Bad answer= negative sounding neutral feedback

What was said in the item description?

Again, post a link to the auction.

As far as leaving him a negative, if he never said in the auction description that you get a box and you give him a negative for not including the box you're just asking for a negative in return

That is what im afraid of, to get a revenge negative feedback. He just described the game alittle. But when he have a picture of the box i assume that it would be included. Ah well.. i e-mailed him again, will see if he answers. Thanks.

How much money was this item anyways? If it was a very expensive and rare item, I would either ask for a refund or give him negative feedback if he said no. If it was a $4 game, I wouldn't bother doing both. I prolly wouldn't leave anything.

Payed about $15
Need to see if he reply first :\

Thats not too much of a price...I would just call him a fucking liar. If he doesnt solve the problem then...he deserves the negative. If he will fix the problem then you decide what he gets.

If you leave a neutral, you'll probably get a neg anyway, so you may as well just leave a neg, or nothing

Why won't you post a link to the auction? That would help us out a lot in giving you the kind of opinions you need.

i don't think he wants to admit he didn't read the full auction discription, and then made an assumption.

It all depends on description and if he replies to your e-mail.

If it said cart only in the description (andeverthing else is ok), then positive.
If he replies and is sorry that te box didn't come: Neutral
If he dosen't reply: Negative

What I do in these cases:
I am a sneaky bastard.
I wait until the 89th day, when feedback is just about to expire.
Then, I slam them with a negative.
Not only does this give them PLENTY of time to reply to my communications, but it leaves them WITHOUT time to retaliate!
Also, if it bothers you THAT much, use ebay's contact info request, and get his or her phone number, and make a polite yet digruntled phone call. I do that whenever I am dissatisfied, and criminy does it get RESULTS. I get free stuff all the time. They'll think you're a stalker/murderer...so few people realise WHERE you got that number..their OWN account!
This, however, is yet another reason why I collect loose.
Oh, and buying gba games on ebay is risky....You'd best inspect that cart.....was the seller listed as "Location: Hong Kong"? Check the label against the known label....I just don't buy GBA games on ebay, unless they're the only game sold by a US seller ,and the photo is actual and not a stock photo.

I so have to remember that next time I get a problem. Last time I left someone 2 positives and a neutral (because they had mislead in the desc saying the game was complete and mint when it arrived it was missing the manual and the case had pre-packaging damage - the sod left a single negitive even though my complaint was valid and they'd not responeded to the e-mails I'd sent about it  )

Not to threadjack and go off topic here, but I wish there was a feedback sniping program that did this for you. That would be simply awesome. As it stands right now, if I remember to leave them feedback on the 89th day, I will. Otherwise I just don't leave feedback at all. This however would be very nice to have to take care of the feedback extortionists and retaliators. I would pay for such a program.

Hehe ye, i also thought about leaving negative at the very last day. But i wont get hostile, not worth it. I never buy GBA games from Hong Kong/Asia. They are most likely pirate.
Ah well.. it will probly be sorted. Thanks for the tips :)

One of the big things I have learned on ebay over the years. Always ask! It may sound silly, but I've bought too many things that were not exactly like the pictured, only to be told that if I had asked, I would have gotten the correct item(s) being sold. Even ebay themselves agree with this (at least they did in my complaints).
Basically, Buyer beware. Ask questions if it is not really obvious.
