I beat Mario Sunshine but I didn't get all the shines. I read the other day that the ending is different if you get all possible shines. My question is, is the new ending worth getting all shines? What is the difference in the endings?...Mahalo.
I have been playing this game for the last week and everything has been candy in my mouth. I love it. Everyone needs to play this game now!

it's worth buying it.I still didn't beat it but i'm very close to betting the whole game.20 stars to go for me.

Well, from what I've heard it really isn't all that much more than the standard ending (small tack-on to it, I think), so whether you want to collect all of the shines or not is up to you, just don't expect anything big.
Sorry I can't say what the difference is, I have yet to complete the game, even for the standard ending, although that's probably because I've been enjoying the game so much I've gotten side-tracked trying to get as many Shine's as possible and just messing about with the world :D

gamefaqs.om Walkthroughs could probably answer this question. For example the Mario64 FAQ says if you collect all the stars, Bowzer says, "WOW! You found all of them!" That's the only difference. I decided it wasn't worth the effort.
