Well, I suppose this could go in the Ebay forum, but since it is a "prototype," it belongs here. Plus, this place doesn't get much action:

It's a prototype/E3 handout promoting the Nintendo DS, a different looking silver stylus.

Man you can buy these things at OfficeMax. I question the authe4nticity of this unless someone can confirm it. He could have bought any old combo stylus/ink pen at officemax and put "Nintendo" on it. Why would Nintendo create a prototype of something that already exists?

Dear Mortal,
Nintendo offered these up amoungst the highest ranks of press agents in the land of E3. Twas prior to the existing retail release. Tis not a prototypical item but a promotional item.

The seller's story is completely false.
Nintendo reps have been handing these out to GameStop and EB employees in recent months. Twist the bottom one way, it's a pen and the other way it's a stylus. It's a new promotional item, not an old prototype.

Yup thats correct it was given to some employees at Gamestop I know cuz I have one myself !! I got it from a Gamestop employee along with Zelda the minish cap (demo not for resale) one !! :D

Quite sorry to have posted it here. :) Was doing a regular ebay "prototype" search under video games and that came up.

Just get a stylus pen from Office Max, that's what I did. In fact, it was this one:
