Just curious. I look at my collection and I just can't see myself ever parting with these games..
Just curious to see how close you guys have came to selling it all away, and to see which ones of you have, and how badly you regretted it or not.

I have sold nearly all my game collection - I had a big collection of Megadrive, Saturn and Dreamcast stuff, and some other bits and pieces (PS1 / PS2 etc). Now I have about four or five games each for Saturn, Dreamcast and PS2. I don't really regret it at all - I didn't actually play any of the games that much, and the ones that I did play I have kept.
I had plenty of enjoyment from playing and collecting them, but I really don't miss them. It does feel good sometimes to know that I can let things go ... I have hundreds of books, and I feel like I could never let them go - but inside I know that if I had to, I could let them all go too. After all, after I've read them once, I re-read them less than I re-played all those games.
And if I go back to collecting games at some point, I've got all the thrill of the hunt to go through again :D

Yeah I too was once forced to get rid of almost everything. Trust me the regret of pawning/selling/trading away your collection lasts for a long time. I unloaded nearly 400 PC games, all Nintendo systems from the 64 and back, a PSX, and a Genny and most of that stuff has cost me twofold just to replace. Financial responsibility was learned at an accerated rate after that experience.
