Most sports games get overlooked by collectors because they are dirt-common and get outdated every year. Some sell for good money though. I was just trying to come up with a list of these sports games that are worth quite a bit. Here's what I've come up with so far:

NES:
Jimmy Connors Tennis

Genesis:
Mutant League Hockey
Mutant League Football
Madden '93 Championship Edition

SNES:
Chavez II
Mountain Bike Rally

PS1:
NBA 2 Ball demo (would get good money if anyone could find a copy to sell)

GBA:
Baseball Advance

GC:
NCAA Basketball 2k3 (I think this is the one)

These are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. Any others?

Just about all sports games on the Neo Geo AES are at least somewhat valuable.

I've heard that MLB SlugFest 20-04 for GameCube is rare. eBay prices aren't astronomical, but they're higher than most years old sports titles.

N64 has ISS 2000, which is somewhat hard to find.

Here's some I could think of:

Sega Master System
James Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing

Nintendo Gamecube
NCAA College Basketball 2K3

Mattel Intellivision
Championship Tennis
World Series Major League Baseball
Big League Baseball
Body Slam Super Pro Wrestling
Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball
Super Pro Decathalon

Colecovision
Tournament Tennis (Imagic version)
Super Action Soccer

Playstation
Power Serve 3D Tennis

Sega 32X
World Series Baseball starring Deion Sanders

Ken Griffey Jr's Major League Baseball and Super Baseball 2020 for Super NES come to mind. I have no idea exactly how much Griffey goes for... but I do know that it's still one of the best baseball games ever made.

I forget which one, but one of the older Tiger Woods titles is worth a lot of money because it was recalled. It's not "super rare," but people on eBay think it's a collector's item anyway.

Disney Sports Soccer, Football, and Basketball on Gamecube.

Gamecube has a handful of sport raritys.

All the disney sport games are worth some cash.
Sega Soccer slam isnt easy to come by.
The 2 mentioned in other posts, and I think that's it.

I don't know about Ken Griffey. I tried to sell a Griffey demo cart on Ebay last year and I couldn't even get the $10 opening bid.

Not a bad game, it just really isn't worth anything.

Baseball Stars always seems to go for $15 around here.

NES: Baseball Stars 1&2

Genesis: Tecmo Super Bowl 2 & 3

N64: NFL Blitz: SE - I'm not sure of the price but it's one of the most rare N64 titles.

Backyard Baseball and Backyard Football on GBA. They aren't going for as much as they used to right now, but are still up there for GBA games.

Tecmo Super Bowl I think all of them go for more than your average sports title but number 2: Special Edition for both SNES and Genesis is suposed to be the rare one although I often see a complete copy of the original NES one going for the most.

Why is this worth anything? GBA: Baseball Advance

I have it but I didn't think it was that great of a game.

Madden 94 for Genesis encrusted with diamonds and wrapped in the shroud of turin on a pedestal made from the woven together skeletal remains of Hitler and an area 51 alien corpse.

That would probably be like a R7 at least.

For the Sega 32x, Fifa 96 for the PAL machine netted me £51 on Ebay recently (to a US Bidder obviously) so I'd say that. Dire game though.

Genesis - John Madden 93 Championship Edition

Last one I saw on ebay in really nice condition went for around 38.

32x - World Series Baseball

Sigh....why is this the last game I need??

I think the Tiger Woods series on the current-gen games may become "slightly" collectible in the near future not because of the TW name or endorsement really but because of the hardcore fanbase of the series since the jump from 32-bit to current.
I know that I can never find and older Tiger woods title for PS2 anywhere NEAR as cheap as the older John Maddens.

Does BMX Airmaster on the 2600 count?

And I have to ask too, what is Baseball Advance worth? There's a store around here with a complete copy.

RBI baseball 95 for the 32X can be hard to track down and might cost something. As for World Series Baseball starring D. Sanders for the 32X, good luck. I got lucky and found my sealed copy in a shop online. It was my last game for the set, and dear gosh it took me six months to find one.

All of the "Super Pro" sports releases for the Intellivision are at least somewhat valuable:
Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball
Chip Shot Super Pro Golf
Body Slam! Super Pro Wrestling
Mountain Madness Super Pro Skiing
Slam Dunk Super Pro Basketball
Slap Shot Super Pro Hockey
Super Pro Decathlon
Super Pro Football

Also World Series Major League Baseball.

RealSports Basketball for the 2600 was only a prototype until it was released in limited quantites at one of the Classic Gaming Expos.

THAT's what I was trying to remember. Yeah, Body Slam! is a triple-digit sports game. I think Super Pro Volleyball is too.

NBA Jam TE, Fever Pitch Soccer and International Sensible Soccer for the Jaguar all fetch decent prices. So does Val D'Isre Skiing and Snowboarding, if it counts.

And getting a little further from the sports realm and more into fantasy sports, Snowboard Kids 1 and 2 for the N64 fetch a good amount.

Wasn't that the grand prize for Swordquest: MaddenWorld?

I thought the guy who won it melted it down anyway... something to do with John Madden's tour bus being stranded in Nevada, and John Madden being hungry...

Hey, he has to keep his girlish figure intact somehow!

Nester's Funky Bowling
Virtual Fishing

Actually Virtual Bowling (Japan) is the highest valued VB game ($1000+ complete withouth flaws on the box and manual), even more so than SD Gundam.

Nester's Funky Bowling pales in comparison.

On Neo-Geo front, Neo Turfmasters, original one, US, without any cosmetic flaws can go up to $3000, even the ones with slight flaws can command $2000.

As for Gamecube, no doubt, NCAA Basketball 2003, the reason I won' go for complete GC collection, too much $$ just for a used, mint copy, and a mediocre game to begin with.

While it doesn't compare to many listed, I know there's at least one soccer game (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=11795) that sells well for the N64--at least in my experience. Anyone else?

the tecmo series games seem to be expensive on both the genesis and the snes

also minisota fats

also the PGA games sometimes go high (high in my book)

Looney Tunes B'Ball on the SNES used to sell for $15... a healthy chunk of cash for a SNES game at the time....

Super Punch Out! is usually pretty expensive...

Baseball Stars 1 and 2 (1 because of the hype, 2 because it's actually pretty hard to come by)

RC Pro AM II (NES) is hard to find....

Do any of the H Saturn games feature watersports?

Sorry, just had to ask. For those of you youngins on the board, I mean, you know, watersports. Like Kawaski Ski Challenge or Toobin'. H games are famous for having minigames.
