Well, today I decided to hit up a flea market, and I made an amazing find. This one lady had a box with a bunch of NES carts in it, and low and behold was a freaking 6 in 1 cart!!!

I asked her how much, and she said $5.

It was funny, because at that time, I really wasn't sure what it was worth, or if it was really rare. I thought it was pretty rare, but I've made that mistake a number of times before, thinking something was rare, buying it and then finding out later that I actually paid more than what it was worth.

I thought for sure that it was probably worth more than $5, so I said what the F, might as well.

Then when I got home I searched it out on the Rarity Guide at it's a R8 valued at $175 !!!

Wowsers!

The only thing that kinda sucks about the whole thing, is that for the rest of my life, I could search for ever and ever and never find a more valuable game. Not that I'm not thrilled to death to find it. I've always dreamed about going into a thrift store and seeing a Neo-Geo or TurboDuo for like $25. But it's never happened. Well, getting this game for $5 is almost the equivalent of that.

Cool find!

Went to a local EB the other day and found a stack (7-10) Genesis games, CIB. Unfortunately, I already had a few of them, but I picked up the ones I didn't own. That was a pleasant find.

Heh, right when I read that post I was listening to Soulwax's 'E-talking', and the song begins with this shining-light-thing effect.

Good find!

Regarding this game, Caltron 6 in 1 for NES. Actually I'm assuming it's the Catlron one, because it's not numbered like the Myriad ones, but it actually doesn't say anything on it. It just has a label that says "Hot Selling!" on the top left corner of the label, then it has 6 little pics of what the games are supposed to be, then on the right side it says 6 in 1, and at the bottom left corner it has CN-11.

On the back, it has this "When this cartridge is causing the console to reset (picture flashes off and on), take out cartridge and set the sliding switch to other position(s) and try again,"

And it actually has a little tiny switch on the back of it with A, B, C slots to switch it to.

It doesn't say Caltron or Myriad anywhere on it, but I'm assuming the CN-11 means that it's a Caltron version. Actually I know nothing about this other than what I read in the rarity guide.

The game is simply called "6 in 1". It's for the NES. It's made by Caltron and according to the DP Rarity Guide, it's a R8 with a value of $175.

By the way, does anybody know how accurate the value of $175 is? I mean, if I put this thing on Ebay, would I actually get anywhere close to $175?

It's near Folsom and Watt in Sacramento. I think it's known as the Folsom Flea market.

Man, I'm telling you, I needed some damn luck. This makes up for getting scammed out of $75 by that guy madgamer. I'd like to think of it as some good Karma, after getting ripped off like that. I hope that guy gets some bad karma like a speeding ticket or flat tire that's unrepairable or something.

Anthony,

The last Caltron 6 in 1 sold for $160 on Ebay. That was a pretty low price though. I have seen them sell for $200+ on several occasions, and a loose cart sold for $250 last year! I would think you would get at least $150 if you sold it right now, if not more.
Great find !!! ;)
