My friend often has this problem. His is an old Xbox, and I am wondering if it is a problem with the laser, or something else. If it is the laser, what procedure can be undertaken to resolve the problem? Would I have to mess with a potentiometer? If somebody could help me out I would appreciate it.

If you want to fool around, play with the laser.

If you want to play Halo2, get a new DVDrom drive.

So getting a new drive is the only fix?

Heh.

How much are you selling new replacement drives for? What brand?

I carry Thomson, Philips and Samsung drives, but I do not sell drives.

I sell drive installations with drives. OSG is a service provider, not a parts depot.

Sorry!

Is the game is loading but that error is showing up when you try to start the game?

I had this problem for a while so I deleted all the saved Halo 2 files on the XBox and then put the game back in and it started to work again. This fixed the problem. It may have been an error in one of the profiles.
