I was wondering if anyone here owns the Linux kit for the PS2? I was thinking about ordering one, but the price is rather high. Seeing that the PS2 only has 32mb of memory, is it any useable, or is it really slow? Also, is the distribution used any recent, and is development still ongoing? If anyone is willing to share his/her experiences i'd be more then happy to read them :)

I think it was a mandrake version, Linux on the xbox is good especially XDSL but for PS2, id have a look on eBay. People usually put info in the product descriptions so have alook.

The North American version is indeed sold out, but they still have PAL European versions :) They are however €149,- ex. tax and ex shipping. (including around €200).

That was why i was wondering if it's worth the money...

The same reason I bought a 6.75HP Craftsman/Briggs "walk behind" lawnmower...'cuz my neighbor doesn't have one.

In case it seemed that way, I wasn't saying that to be a jerk, I honestly don't understand what the point would be... ::is baffled::

I remember finding out about it after it was already sold out.
I was pretty dissapointed.
Does anyone know how many were made or any other specifics besides the fact that it is sold out and has been for a few years?

I found a one of them on eBay just now

Sounds like it is missing some stuff but it looks like at least 9 bidders were willing to overlook that fact.
