Welcome to this week's Monday Morning MAME Club Posting. Every Monday, a member of the MAME club will pick a new game for you to play in MAME! All you have to do to participate is install MAME, download the ROM of the week from this message, and then post your thoughts about the game! You can post a full review of the game or simply tell us what you liked/didn't like about the game. Have you played this game before? Have you played it in an actual arcade? Do you like the genre? How did it run on your computer? Did you beat it? If so, how long did it take? What was your high score? How far can you get? Did you have any problems emulating the game? When writing your review, post it right here in the sticky topic and include any thoughts you have about the game. Remember, YOU are the reviewer. Let us know anything and everything you think about the game! Just remember, if you want people to respond during YOUR week, you should play along on OTHER weeks!

The ROM of the week is: Elevator Action Returns (available HERE (http://www.robohara.com/mameclub/elvactr.zip)!)
KLOV Link for the game: HERE (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=)

Oh nice! This is an excellent choice. The game's got wonderful 2d graphics and it's quite addicting. I love grabbing the machine gun and MOWING down people. Lots of action and explosions. Great game if you feel like watching some people die in horrible explosions. I've always wanted to try this game on the sega saturn but the import's a bit expensive for my tastes =\.

No no no no no. That's my review which was edited for all content.

The original is still the best. This one just looks all wrong and is missing all the charm from the original.

I love the Elevator Action series and was lucky enough to recently get the JP Saturn version. It's a really fun game that puts a fresh spin on an old classic. Definitely worth a try.

Wow, I didn't know this was working in MAME yet. It wasn't for as long as I've used it. I'll have to redownload it to try it.

Thoughts later!

I think I posted this picture before, but I'll throw it in here again.

That's me in 1994 with my very first arcade cabinet, Elevator Action. I bought it while my wife was out and had it home and in the kitchen before she knew what hit her. The original still gets a lot of play on both my laptop and my MAME cabinet, so this sequel is taking me a little time to get used to.
