long story short.......... had a gas leak , daughter got out ok, but great granny got hit a little hard with co2. everythings looking ok so far, they should be coming home today sometime. thank god they are all right. , the thing is i went to visit after work today. i couldn't for the life of me remember the room they were in. finally , found her , walked in and to my amazement i saw some wicked video game hook up. this thing was awesome, i wanted to cart it out the hospital sooooooo bad. it had a n64 with 3 games. all the games were chained up tho :( (paper mario, mario kart, excitebike) it had nintendo faceplate over the tv and some other murals on the side of it. it was a sweet piece of hardware if i must say so.

Glad that your daughter is okay. I know someone posted that Nintendo tv thing here a few months ago. It was on wheels and it wheels over your bed so you can lie and play it.

I tried to search for it, but I coudnt find the pics. I pretty sure it was in an Ebay auction. The colors were purple and white.

What would be really nice is if it allowed you to bring your own memory card or carts. LOL

There's nothing worse than seeing your kids in the hospital, take it from me. Glad to know your daughter is doing well. Pretty cool N64 sighting as well...

Glad to hear everything is gonna be ok - Thank God.

Do you *really* want that Nintendo unit?

Go back to the hospital and locate their A/V department.

Ask whoever is in charge how much they want for it.

Make them an offer.

Don't take *no* for an answer.

It doesn't hurt to try!

Yeah, those sick kids are overprivileged anyway.

The surplus department here on campus is selling a few of these. TV, N64, and everything, for like $50 a piece. Neat, but I dont really need one of have room for it. I guess I could turn a profit on eBay, but what a pain in the ass to ship...

yikes man! that is scary to even think about. Glad it looks like all will be well.

btw, on that n64 set up... did it have a VCR attached to it? If so it is the one people are thinking about. The one that was on ebay was about an hour from my house, butthe seller wanted some 400 bucks for it i believe. no way in hell would i pay more then 75 for it...

but then again i am known to pay more then usual going prices :)

Glad to hear everyone was okay!

I saw that same N64 set up when I spent a week in the hospital with Mono. That was the only time I've ever played Mario 64.

As a fellow parent, it's always scary to read a post like this. I've got two sons myself, and have been fortunate thus far to avoid any major incidents. I wish your family the best and a speedy recovery for all. :)

i belive it was aaron7 who had posted about the hospital unit, but i bealive the one he had been posting about was actully a NES unit, im guessing maybe nintendo has some sort of deals worked out with some hospitals for charitable purposes and they just swap the systems in and out of the same moveable casses. Just a guess

Yah man, sorry to hear about the gas leak, but glad everyone is alright. One time I moved into an apartment and I smelled gas. I called PSE&G (public service electric & gas) and they were out pretty quick. Turns out the flame inside the stove was just turned up a tad too high.

Really? I didn't see a NES version posted here... maybe i'll do a quick search. I know for a fact that the auction that was posted was for an N64 version as i was thinking about offering the seller way less for the going rate (since it had no bidders).

I have also seen a SNES version. When my sister was in the hospital with mono (back in the day), the hospital carried a Super NES version that was on a different cart. The SNES version looked nowhere near like the n64 "fun center" and didn't include a VCR attached to it, nor was the same colors.

Glad to hear everything turned out good first off.... :)

The only fun center I have seen was the N64 set up. Maybe there was some sort of SNES version , but I have never come across it :/

The NES had the sharp 19inch combo TV thing , but those were more for hotels and stuff I believe..... ( I have one of these)

Yes there was a snes version , there are 2 different ones here at the hospital .1 looks generic and the other has a big NINTENDO sign on the side of it.

They also have playstations and n64's here.
