Hmm, maybe we'll get some nice Hudson tunes in Konami's music games (yeah, I have a one track mind).

I hope that the result in this will have some great outcomes for some of the best games made by Hudson Soft, I have been waiting for a good next-gen Bomberman and maybe there can be one now. I can't forget about Bonk though it be great to see a few games come out for DS.

I second this...it'd be great to have an online version of Saturn Bomberman.

I'd love to see another Bonk game. Or at least a port of the current Gamecube Bonk game that I believe has been out in Japan for a while.

I loved playing Bonk's Adventure on the Turbo. Great game. Cool ending too.

I recently picked up Bonk's Revenge. Just played a little bit but I like what i've seen/played.

This is great news, I would love to see another bonk game, or even a compliation of some of the greatest stuff Hudson has done. This was a great move for Konami

I can't wait for yet another bomberman! Every console should have a bomberman game and I don't know why! Though it is fun. Kinda like tetris. Gotta keep releasing rehashes for the phat monies.

Dream TV Mix? That got a Japanese release, I've heard it lacks the magic of Smash Bros...and it gets old after the novelty of pitting Optimus Prime against Master Higgins wears off.

Would love to see some Bonk or Zonk... :D I wouldn't expect anything new, but some conversions/ports for DS or SP sound like a definite possibility. :)

I think Y's: AoN and DTVMix was a prelude to the merger.

I know we Americans got Kabuki Clash for Neo Geo, but now that Konami's got Hudson they need to introduce us to the "Tengai Makyo/Far East of Eden" universe.

Konami characters now in Mario Party?! LOL :P

Still, should be interesting as long as the big K let Hudson carry on the same good work as before...

X_x This would be sweet if they did indeed make a "Bonk" or "Adventure Island" Collection with updated sprites and such... I know I would buy it.

Maybe not quite the thing you're looking for, but Konami did release a collection of sorts for the PC called "Konami Collector's Series". It doesn't have Ronda of blood or anything like that. However, it does include all the Castlevainas and Contras for the NES and supposedly you can unlock Jackle in it somehow.

I can see them creating a prince of persia style Adv. Island. That would be cool.

After reading this so many thoughts flowed into my head:

- Will we finally see Dream TV fighters over here (or is it too late?)

- Will Momotarou be introduced to American games, finally? His Dentetsu series is THE precursor to Mario Party (minus the minigames).

- I second Parodius vs Star Parodier :D Now that would kick ass.

- Of course a new Bonk would be wonderful. Can never have enough Bonk!

I have passed that game up many times, but is it worth buying should I come across another copy?

And as someone mentioned earlier, an Adventure Island Collection would be nice. Or maybe if Nintendo decides to do more NES Classics series, put Adventure Island I-III on the GBA. Case in point here: More Adventure Island!

You do know that there was such a game for the Super Famicom, right? (ref. http://donut.parodius.com/?func=trans&platform=snes&gamekey=278 )

The Whirlpool FAQ should answer most of your questions about patching. The only tricky part is finding the ROM, which is a matter of Google-fu.

Be advised that the full SNES game uses the word "doremi" in its title; there are other SNES roms named "BS Do-Re-Mi" (note hyphens) which are less substantial versions released through Nintendo's Satellaview service.

that's the first thought that came to my mind: "what about mario party???" well, we'll see how that works out. I must admit this might be the first time i'm happy one company bought another, Hudson really wasn't bringing too much of it's line-up to the US and especially Europe so i expect some more Hudson Franchises showing up over here, Tengai Makyo would be fantastic *hoping*

Well that explains why Pinobee was published by Konami, I guess. I was wondering what the heck was up with all that. It seemed quite odd to for it to have the Hudson Soft logo on it, and yet be published by Konami, so I guess that was supposed to be a subtle hint. Not surprising to me at all.

Imagine the games, especially now that both companies can cross franchises over!

(Not actual titles, just stuff I thought of after reading the article. Imagination is a wonderful thing, isn't it?)

Most of these titles would allow Konami to rekindle the old flames of some awesome game series.

"Gradius / Star Soldier: Legends Return"

"Kid Dracula goes to Adventure Island"

"Konami Man / Bonk: Halls Of Time"

"Castlevania Arena: Call of the Bloody Roar"

"Sparkster / Bomberman: Rocketfire Explosion"

Wow. I can't wait to see what Hudson is going to up to, now that they're a part of Konami.

*applauds Konami*

Last one on E-Bay (havent seen one since or ever) was about 1 month ago, it pressed 600 USD when i stopped looking, but rumor has it that Sapphire has been on there pressing 1,400 USD (i doubt it). You can look but dont touch: http://www.gamechoiceclub.com/navigateProduct.asp?product_id=1681 ($468)

Other games like Magical Chase or Dungeon Explorer 2... are getting up there too, but Magical Chase seems to be getting more plentiful tho (going from 350-420 USD easy)

I don't know, do you have all the original games? If so, then it would seem rather pointless. I mean, why buy the same games over again for the PC? I guess if you want to give it a try you don't have much to lose. After all, I bought it a few years ago for 10 bucks so it's not like it goes for alot of money.

Saturn Bomberman was online.

Wasn't the dreamcast game too?

Wasn't the dreamcast game too?

Indeed, for a time it was still possible to download the free online PC version, provided you could decipher the Japanese instructions.
