Why do I feel the need to buy one of these? I've never had a decal on any car I've ever owned. Not even a bumper sticker. And yet, this just seems like something I must have.

Toaplan creates the Zero Wing video game.
Toaplan releases a port for the Sega Genesis console with the addition of an intro scene, which is then translated into english (very poorly) and released in the United States.
Toaplan goes out of business.



on a side note I have this sticker on my car that says "know your roots" and it has a big nes controller on it

Actually, that's been on my car for over a year, Seriously, I have a red hyundai Elantra with that right on the windshield.

I get a lot of questions, I give a mysterious smirk and say "I can't tell you what it means"

@Autobotracing: your summary is pretty close but not exactly correct. Zero Wing was never released for Genesis. It's a Mega-Drive game.

I just saw a boxed Zero Wing (Mega Drive) up for auction on the ebay, GBP 4.99 with 18 hours to go. (I'm not the seller, and don't worry about me bidding--I've already got one.) You could bid for great justice.

I'm amazed that this joke refuses to die! I mean, this thing has lasted an eternity as far as internet things go. I even know non-gamers who are hip to it (well, usually some warped "friend of a friend" type version of it, but close enough!)

I hope I have this much staying power in my later days! LOL
