In the rarity guide Rodland is mentioned 2 times, one with $150 suggested price and one with $90, but both have the same description.
Is the $90 for the Famicom version? How much is a complete copy of the Famicom version worth?

Yeah, seriously, why do they both have my description of the PAL game?

Any news on this so far? I wondered the same thing at times too. Who's the section editor for Pal Nes?

I don't know why there are two of them either. Which one is the correct price, I'll remove the extra one.

Hey Joe, I think you removed the Famicom version.

Hey Joe, how many times have people asked you where you're "going with that gun in your hand?" Do you ever want to punch people who say that?

Hey Joe, I think you removed the Famicom version.

There were two identical entries - system, section, title, manufacturer, country... all that was different was the price, so I picked the record that was the most recent.

Now if a version of Rodland is MISSING, just let me know what makes it different from the existing record and BAM! it's back in there.

Actually I never get tired of that. No kidding.

Well, I haven't even seen the Famicom section in pure form, but I'm assuming they're in the "Non-US" section with a Japan country label. There is a Japanese Famicom version of Rodland. It's the same game, with a rarity of, oh, six or seven. We don't seem to have it listed, I just assumed that's what the duplicate entry was meant to be.

If you want any actual database info, it was programmed by a dude named Simon Pick for Storm Sales Curve (or maybe it was Storm: The Sales Curve, I forget). The PAL version was released first, and apparently (though I can't confirm this) there were some minor bugfixes made for the Japanese release. It was never seriously considered for an American release, as the arcade game didn't go over too well here.

EDIT: And on a totally random note, the arcade version is featured on every Ultracade machine I've ever seen. I managed to beat it, but the bastard machine kicked me back to the menu in the middle of Rodland's ending! I was so miffed that I called my contact at Ultracade (his business card was in my car) and asked what the hell the deal was. He connected me with a tech guy, who explained that it did that due to the controls being inactive for a certain time amount. So players beware: if you beat Rodland on an Ultracade, make sure you're twirling the joystick around or something.

the Famicom (=Japanese) version of Rodland is now missing, the one in there is the PAL one (as the description says and rarity clearly shows)

OK. I guess the one I deleted was never marked by its country of origin.

Can someone give me a rarity and value of the Japan version?

i have no idea, i only know that it's not near as rare as the PAL one and going for less money

This isn't based on any kind of solid facts, other than what I've seen a couple copies go for (and because a Japanese guy told me it was really hard to find), but I'd go 6-7 with a value of $50.
