Number one, of course, would have to be Katamari Damacy, just for the sheer "what the hell is that?" factor, but the infamous bit of Metal Gear Solid 2 is a lot of fun when there's random people wandering in and out of your room. Never in my life have I had to answer "why is that man naked?" so many times.

All Bemani games. Trust me on this.

Burnout 3, 1 on 1 fighting games, pretty much anything heavily competitive is enhanced by an audience.

As for 1-player games, I still get a kick out of showing people Manhunt and hearing the noises people make for the gruesome executions. "Augh" is a popular one.

Taiko Drum Master

I brought this to a party last weekend and everyone was going apeshit watching people play it. Lot's of cheering and hollering, especially during the drum rolls.

DDR at the Arcade is fun, especially when people crowd around you and cheer you on.

"why is that man naked?"...

Play DDR *naked* directly in front of your

living room window with a strobe light on.

Fantavision (PS2), and the SSX series.

Me: *continues to pull off insane combos*
Audience: "!!!!!!"
Me: *futzes up*
Audience: "AWWWWWWWW!"

Other than what has been mentioned...Wario Ware for GC. It is one of my favorite party games.

I don't think any games derserve an audience (on the first play through). Each game (no matter how bad) has it's own wonderous adventures to bestow upon the lucky individual playing the game. Keep your games to yourself (at first). Don't gangrape games.

Donkey Konga would definately be a kick ass party game, Mario Party as well (not including 4 players) many a night we stayed up drinking with friends playing that.. um Any of the Res Evil games are cool to watch instead of play cause you can jump like hell right along with the person playing and figure out rough puzzles with "audience participation"

Back when RE just came out it would draw small crowds at the game store in the mall when they it set up on the demo PS. This game made me buy a PS and is largely responsible for getting back onto consoles. When I did buy it I would play in front of my roomates. We would try to figure out what to do next. Luckily they were both girls so they had no desire to take over the controls. They just wanted to watch.

Burnout 3 (deserves repeating)
Dog's Life

hehe, hey now.. :P The only reason I don't want to take the controls from Damion is that it's funny as HELL to watch him scream like a girl and piss his pants when those dogs come round the corner...

Frequency or Amplitude is also great for this in much the same way Rez is (even though Amplitude doesn't have a vibrator peripheral... ). If you can get on a good roll you can get non-players believing you were spat out of God's colon itself. :D

People aren't impressed with my MAD DDR SKILLZ......maybe it's cause I'm a fatass and I play with the controller. :(

I remember when the Genesis was new and I was playing Sonic The Hedgehog at a Sears kiosk for the first time in my life. People started lining up behind me, one guy said "wow, you're good, you must play this all the time!"

That was the greatest day of my life. I shortly after talked mom into buying me a Sega Genesis.

I think it fun to boot up Ikaruga at my GameCrazy... some kids are like in AWE, mostly 10-14 yr olds, "there like dude, how can you do that?" and then i get to level 3 and it goes south real quick LOL . Another game is Fight Mania for Arcade, one of the best Fist of the North Star Games ever. One of the best times ive had it gaming life.

Gotta throw all the "adult" 2600 games in there ... playing "Beat 'em and Eat 'em" in front of a crowd, playing it at home by yourself is very, very wrong.

Sorry. A little accidental sexism / guy thinkin' there. They had zero interest in gaming. Nada.

I think that any of the games that actually involve alot of skill are good games for an audience to watch.
THPS 3 is a good choice, and I agree with whoever said DDR. I myself have never played a DDR game in my life, but I saw a kid playing it in the Albany mall last year, and he has a crowd of over 100 people watching him! @_@

My wife likes to watch me play Resident Evil. She helps by pointing out stuff that i might have missed and by screaming in my ear and making me die everytime something scares her.

Same here (for SFII and the MK's). Showing off or watching the MK endings was great.
