$50 at Goodwill on Friday netted me the best find I've seen there in years:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/pzcortez/IMG_0157.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/pzcortez/IMG_0156.jpg

That 2600 is a heavy-sixer, I think it's probably the first one I've owned 8-) . The manual stack was awesome and has filled quite a few holes in my collection, but the carts are all tradebait. Same thing with the INTV; there were a few carts in there I didn't have like Microsurgeon, Swords & Serpents etc and after gleaning through for missing overlays and manuals the rest will be bartered off or Ebayed.

Between the Sears Video Arcade II and this it's been one of my best weeks ever, and it's barely spring. Happy hunting days hopefully remain ahead.

mods i'm very sorry for the double-post here and in the "weekday finds" thread. they hit at the same time. please delete one, take my mesetas..whatever.

Okay, I can deal with Heath (Grimbal) buying up all my stuff around here ... but now we have another Arkansas person on the boards? That's going to have to stop :D

That said, I bought today:

An Amiga 600 on fleabay

Jungle Hunt and Donkey Konga for the GC. That's a story in itself - I bought the bongos from Frys when I was in Dallas last month. When I got it home, it had no game in the box, and the Pelican brand bongos! I called Frys and Outpost, they said I needed to bring it back to the store for a refund ... I explained I wasn't driving 6 hours back to Dallas to return something, could I either get the game or ship it back? Well... they didn't give a rats ass.

Anyways...

Speedball 2010 for the PSX

Unfortunately decent games seem to be drying up around here thanks to good ol' eBay. There are people all around my area that stake out a games store/second hand store EVERY DAY and buy EVERY RARE/POPULAR game and sell them up for cashola. I wish I could find them all and tattoo "EBAY WHORE" on their faces so they could never buy games again >_<

But anywho:

Golvellius: Valley Of Doom (SMS, no instructions) - $2
A boxed import enabler for the Mega Drive - $6
Atari Pong Paddles - free (woot)
Fatal Fury Real Bout for PS1 - demo with cover, PAL - $10

Is the Fatal Fury PS1 game hard to come by in PAL regions? I've never seen it or even heard about it before this, demo disc or no. I've gotta go test it, it might even be the full game :)

And non game stuff:

A purple keyboard for the computer I am s-l-o-w-l-y building (this is the first part of it LOL) - $12 <3
Nightmare Before Christmas Jack and Sally scented bobble heads - $5 each
Gatomon with no arms - 50c
A crapload (13) of Neopets Happy Meal plushies - $5

I collect the Neopets dolls, so if you want to offload them, I'm your girl! I prefer opened ones, with or without tags.

So... I guess I didn't do TOO badly. :P Especially considering I'm very picky and only buy games that I am going to play at some point.

Why would anyone think you're a thief? o_O Isn't the whole concept of finding good deals based upon buying from people/stores that don't quite know what they got? GameStop occasionally screws up like that, and I've always taken advantage of it when it's to my benefit. I remember buying Gradius 3 for the price of Gradius on NES and Skate or Die 2 for the price of the first game (it seems like when they make this mistake it's always with sequels that are labeled as the originals; I guess some employees don't notice the number after the title). Anyway, if you're bringing it up to the counter and handing it over, you got no obligation to check that they're doing their jobs correctly. If they cared so much, they'd double check the price tag with the game itself themselves at ring up.

Anyway, good find. :) Don't worry about it; just enjoy their screw up. :P

cauterize: @_@ Niiiice...

link1110: I found a Mario Bros ($15 at Funco) marked as SMB ($.50 at Funco) once -- better believe I grabbed that one. :)

Picked up Armored Core: Nexus and Road Trip for PS2 for $8 plus a stack of crap cheap games. Huzzah for getting more in bonus value from the 3-for-$10 thing at Gamestop than actual trade-in on the games. Amazingly, they gave me the most value for a budget game...

Actually, got these Thursday but couldn't get on here to post. >_>

[quote="grandamchandler"]Oh mannnn good stuff today:

Deluxe GameGear Carry Case (The one that looks like a laptop bag) - $0.50

You got a GREAT deal on that! I paid 4 bucks for mine!

Not too much to speak of. I got Sonic Adventure 2 (for $19.99 at EB Games...I know I paid WAY too much but it was something I've been wanting to get,) Floigan Bros (for Dreamcast new in case for $15.99 at EB Games...still paid too much but to find something brand new for Dreamcast around here is amazing,) Section Z (for NES...$0.99 at EB Games,) Vegas Dreams (SNES...$1.99 at EB Games,) and Kirby 64 (N64...$12.99 at EB Games.)

The season is just picking up....happy hunting everyone!!! (Now all I need is a way to fix my game gear screen...either to find that Novus plastic cleaner that I've read about or get a new screen altogether. It was MUCH easier getting my Game Boy Color screen...got it straight from Nintendo!)

All for 5$ a piece, NES games from a rental place

Guerilla War - complete
Power Blade - complete
Monster in my Pocket - Complete, even came with the little monster figure in the box!
Panic Restaurant - Complete :-)
Dragon Warrior 4 - cart only

All have a decent amount of wear on the manuals, I think they rented the manuals out with the games for some dumb reason, but it's still pretty cool

Well, the thrifts have been very good to me. The first batch my wife was hovering over until I got to the store (she dropped her van off for repairs and walked over to the store) and then I went today for my usual solo thrifting.

Atari 2600: $1.99 a piece loose

Track and Field (label in awesome shape)
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Night Driver
Breakout
E.T. (shaddup :P )
Adventure
Decathlon
River Raid
Barnstorming
Enduro
Winter Games
Summer Games
Space Attack
Xonox double ender: Ghost Manor/Spike's Peak
Pressure Cooker
Warlords

A bit pricy for some of these common titles, but worth it to me. I swear the person I sold my Atari 2600 and games to back in 1987 must have donated their stuff as I used to have Raiders, Summer and Winter Games all together. ust weird.
