Seems like the game will play something like The Lost Vikings series or other multi-character action-puzzlers. But nice to see them having a game, lets hope its good!

That blows my mind, I recently heard that Animaniacs was doing surprisly well in Europe.

If Konami does this (like the original ones) It'll probably be a rarity, since most kids these days don't even know who they are, which may cause poor sales. If the kids can't reconize the characters, they it won't fly. Unless they are planning a comeback?

Either a comeback or a really good promotion for the game. Kids may not know who they are but teenagers and young adults would and may by it, especially if it plays well, which could trickle down to the youngin's playing it.

THis is pretty awesome news. Just because the Animaniacs promote wackiness and just plain old goofy fun. I remember playing Animaniacs Ten Pin Alley (although Ten Pin was wacky on it's own). Would be nice to see them do something with these characters. Ahhh....The memories. Time to go play some of the ANimaniacs songs i download....errr.... bought at Walmart.

EDIT: "Wheel of Morality, turn, turn, turn. Tell us the lesson that we should learn..."

You might be surprised by the recognition factor which can transcend generations. Right now a few cable stations are running old shows like Tiny Toons, Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons (Not that Sonic X one) etc. They may not be the hot new thing with a collectible card game tie-in but they are out there being watched.

And a Lost Vikings clone would be awesome.

...if it has Pinky and the Brain in it, thats worth the price alone. ;-)

But yeah, I'm looking forward to this. I Remeber the cartoon..and remeber loving it...

Theres not too many shows I can say I remeber the complete theme song to. ;-)

Ya know, I've been wanting to play Ten Pin Alley actually, how is it besides the Animaniacs factor?

I really enjoyed both versions. Especially the Animaniacs one. The game is like Hot Shots Golf to Bowling (Except released before Hot Shots was popular I believe).

Scooterb will argue with me though, stating that the original Ten Pin Alley is a much better game. I find them to play near identical, so I guess I'm just an idiot to bowling games. I probably just liked having the Animaniac characters.

I'll have him come in here and give a more detailed opinion, as I haven't played Ten Pin Alley in years. Sorry I can't be much help. It's one of those games that i just remember being really good....

But then I remembered "The Hobbit" being a really good animated movie....but my sister warned me not to watch it as an Adult unless I want to lose that memory of it being good.

This Fills me with joy. I so did love the Animaniacs. It's good to see it's still around.

Now if only Futurama made a comeback......

What, the video game doesn't count?

Yeah it counts!

But the show needs to come back to and the game didn't really get that great of reviews (which I didn't care about I bought it anyways)

I'm pretty sure that I read awhile back somewhere that they're making a game for the GBA too. Just in case any handheld people might get interested.

That's true, with Tiny Toons making a comeback on Nick Toons TV, I'm sure Animaniacs will surely follow....actually it already is on Nick Toons TV, just comes on at weird hours of the night around here.

Btw the old Sonic cartoon, what channel is it on? Been dying to catch some reruns

I'd just love to see season sets of it, or a best of collection of the various shorts in the series.

That does look pretty cool. Now I don't feel like such a geek for remembering most of that "all the countries in the world" song Yakko sang...

It'd be great if this game turns out good. The animaniacs deserve much better than a piece of licensed shovelware.

Eh, I'm indifferent for now.

Despite the fact that my avatar is from the Animaniacs SNES game, I'm not a big fan of the franchise's original foray into video games.

I'd rather see them bring back the cartoon than have them make a new video game.

Although the possibilities are good. I hope they include lots of original humor and dialogue, like they did with Simpsons Hit and Run for example.

I'm not a big fan of 3D platformers, so this will really have to impress me to get my interest. Something beyond the old "Search every nook and cranny of a level for 50 tokens" kind of crap.

I love the Animaniacs, but I'll certainly wait to see reviews (from you guys and from metacritic) to see if it's worth it. I say this because I remember the Rocko's Modern Life game on the SNES... It was another show from the early/mid-90s that I loved, but the SNES game sucked (controls were very frustrating). Compared to other cartoon-based games (including Capcom's Disney games for the NES and Mickey Mania), I was very disappointed.

Anyway, hopefully this Animaniacs game will kick butt...
