I am looking to buy one of these arcade games:

Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 2
Street Fighter 2
Final Fight
Simpsons Arcade
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I live in Upstate NY (2 hours north of Albany) , but am willing to drive a few hours to pick one of these games up. Does anyone know where I can buy any of these games in the Albany area, or northern New Jersey area?

Thanks

Your very best bet is to watch for an auction in the NYC / Jersey area. IIRC they have them every now and then, there are online auction sites you can check for a schedule, I believe superauctions is one of the bigger ones.

Anyway -- find an auction, then plan to spend the entire day (and I do mean the ENTIRE day) there :). Also plan to have transportation ready, all the games need to be out of the auctionhouse when it ends.

All the games you listed are pretty common (esp. SFII) so finding one of them at an auction should be a breeze, and you'll probably get it for a good price to boot.

Good luck! :)

Thanks alot, but what is "IIRC"? I checked out Superauctions web site, and they have an auction this month in Cherry Hill NJ. The problem is that Cherry Hill is 7+ hours from my house (I know that because I have driven there to pick an item up before. LOL )
I was hoping I would be able to find something closer (like 3 hours away or less).
Are there any other auction sites that sell Arcade games, other than Ebay?

Thanks alot by the way! :)

If I remember correctly, it stands for "if I remember correctly."

LOL LOL

Man do I feel like an idiot. I thought it was an online auction site that sold arcades. I went to the site (IIRC.com) and was really confused. No wonder! haha

I really wish I could get to that Superauction in Cherry Hill, but I highly doubt that is possible. I guess I will be watching Ebay and waiting until something comes up on there.

Thanks anyway guys!

Check those wanted and classified ads that are sold in news stands. I always see a bunch of arcade machines listed in those.

i just went to zachary's with a friend. all they have now is newer arcade machines, and the stupid ones that give out tickets. he(my friend) said that they used to have a lot better stuff, so i'm thinking they might have the good stuff in the "back room". i might call them, and if you wanna call them, tell me what you find out!

Are you talking about the Pizza place in Burlington? There is a Zachary's Pizza place in Plattsburgh, but they don't have any games.

Oh, I've never been to the one in Burlington. Does Pizza Putt have any games? I've never been there either, but someone told me they used to have a bunch.

Also, there is a guy that lives in the Burlington area that supposedly has a TON of arcade games. I guess he used to own/operate the movie theatre downtown. I don't know anything about him at all, but the person who told me about him is the skinny blonde haired (kinda nerdy) kid who works at Hollywood Video. He said he knew him, and that the guy has at least 50 arcades.

I actually kinda found someone. There is a guy in Montreal (which is 1 hour away from me) who has TONS of games. He sells on Ebay, and owns an amusement service. His Ebay ID is "Amusement911". I called him and asked him about going to check his games out , and he said that was fine. He also said he has around 300 games at the moment!!!!! @_@

Yeah...don't buy from that guy. He recently posted that for any local pickups at his warehouse there will be a $100 pickup fee.

There's a whole thread in RGVAC if you want to follow.

I asked him about the $100 local pick up charge, and he said it was because he had to pay someone to be there when he wasn't there. He said if I pick it up at night when he is there, that I don't have to pay it.
