Sadly, my collection has grown too large for it's room, and I've had to demote the Genesis to storage... I've recently bought a Nomad off eBay to fill the gap, but there are a number of games on my Genesis want list that are European exclusives... so does anyone know if there is a way to play import games on a Nomad? Would it choke on a PAL game, or is this something that I can just toss a Game Genie into and go about my business?

The cartridge slot is big enough so that all region games can fit (albeit snugly). The only reason if a game won't play on the Nomad is because the game itself has region protection (and even then, depending on the game, you can get around that using Game Genie, but I don't have one).

In short, most, if not all imports can be played on a Nomad.

The Nomad is indeed import friendly. Play PAL Alien Soldier on it all the time with a Game Genie.

Yep, PAL Psycho Pinball is no problem on the Nomad with a Game Genie, but I still have never tried it in my Genesis yet!

The first Nomad I owned came with the Japanese version of Strider Hiryu. Worked like a charm although you do have to creatively fit it in the slot.

Not sure about PAL but most Japanese imports should play fine.
