I just got an X'Eye off of Ebay with a couple of Mega CD games. You know the drill.
Is there a boot program or something I can burn myself to make my MegaCD games playable?

good luck finding one though...
otherwsie you will need to mod your console...
and if you are going to do mod I'd check with D-Lite first whether this's possible with your console...

Is it possible to rip the games to a CD and modify their region settings? I know you can with saturn games.
But if you did that then a Sega CD can play the burns unmodified.

This can be done reasonably easily with Euro MCD games, but Jap ones are finicky (something about the boot code being smaller) last I looked into it. I believe the tool used is called SCDconv, but don't quote me on that...
If you want to play the originals, you're either going to need to get a foreign system, or do a BIOS mod.

Now I read it again I think I may given wrong information.
i know MagicKey lets you play different region carts but not sure whether it does the same with MegaCD... probably not...

Some PC emulators let you play games directly off the CD. The emulation quality varies wildly, of course.

well it seems the Mega Key III doesnt allow Mega CD imports, Just cartridge imports
However, i tried swaping the region with my custom switches and the Mega CD dectects its on a different console and wont allow it, a blue screen comes up saying PAL only orwhatever...
The only thing left it to perform a Bios Mod...
