Quick question:

Can I play Tec Toy or UK imports on my US Master System II?

Yes.
A few games won't play on a US SMS1, or will have slightly glitchy graphics (see CRV's handy list here (http://sg1000.emucamp.com/sgr/smscompat.htm) ), but a SMS2 should be OK with just about everything.

Games like Prince of Persia by Domark, or Newzealand Story, were made in the UK, and they run at 50hz, which appears glitchy on US systems.

Also Back to the Future III doesnt work on US systems properly.

The huge majority of games are absolutely fine though!

I don't get where all this "POP doesn't work right on a US SMS" stuff comes from. It works fine on my US SMS.

But yeah, generally, a US SMS2 will play almost everything.

Can i add, i found out, if you do a 60hz mod switch on a SMS 1, you dont need an AV Cable, the RF can support 60hz!!!

Therefore you can switch between the signals for games which might glitch!

I found this out the other day when i accidently broke my homemade AV Cable and had to go back to the RF!

Check my post above - it includes a link to CRV's guide to exactly that.
