Hi guys.

Haven't gotten to post in a while and there's a lot of things going on in my life. With my new job bagging at Piggly Wiggly (feel free to make any comments), helping my mom out with flea markets that she does, and a lot of other crap, I feel the squeeze. Fortunately, I have money, and with my mom keeping a look-out and other things, I can really expand my collection. Case in point of what happened a few days ago:

Last week my mom had to go down to a friend's place and sell jewelry (she deals in silver, turquoise, whatever fits her bill). Anyway, she likes to stop at thrift shops and most of the time I go with her. I didn't get to go with her though, I had to wash dishes and go to work. So anyway, she calls me with her trac-phone a few times while stopping at each of these. By the end of the day, I had:

Rambo (NES)

Art of fighting (SNES)
Top Gear

After Burner (Master System)
Space Harrier
Wanted
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap
Vigilante
Rambo III
Cloud Master

Toe Jam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron (Genesis)
Ranger x
Nickelodeon's Aaahh!!! Real Monsters
Tinhead
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
The Lost Vikings

Kaboom! (Atari 2600)
Cosmic Ark
Spider-Man
Space Attack
Astroblast
Swordquest: Fire World
Centipede
Jungle Hunt
Q*Bert
Burgertime
Skiing
Laser Blast
Trick Shot
Super Challenge Football

And my first foreign find in the wild:

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for Mega Drive!

And the best part of all: It's free! This amounts to over 50 bucks. My mom did it because I'm going to be helping her over the summer!

So Saturday rolls around. We load up the van so that we don't have to later in the day. So we're free to go shopping that day for paper plates, conditioner and whatnot we need.
So My mom gets a call from a person who sets aside broken jewelry at a thrift shop. We go, It's fine for her. Then we go to goodwill and I find:

Atari 7800 System (Missing AC adapter. If anyone can help me out with this and a Video/Power box for a 5200 I'd really appreciate it.) $20

Coleco Vision Expansion Module #1 $10

These Games for 7800: $2 each

Hat trick
Xevious
Robotron: 2084
Pole Position II
Summer Games

And a copy of Super Breakout for 2600: $2

Also all the Doc Savage '60s reprint books for $15. Very nice find I think. I might just sell them though.

So after that, we head to another city with a goodwill. Really cool there! They had a PSP that they were selling for basically what it goes for in the store, $250. They apparently got two of them donated from Target. I tried it out with that demo that goes with it and Spider-Man 2. Really interesting....if you have the money. That alone might collapse the PSP. If you're forced to say "If you have the Money", then people won't want to spend the money. Anyway, I thought it looked really cool and I could see myself buying one....just not today.

So I look around. They have a 1049 GameCube memory card. I pass. They have a Game Boy Pocket for $15 also. I pass. I look over by the games and guess what I found!

Darkstalkers (Playstation)
D
Battle Arena Toshinden 2

Slam City with Scotty pippen (Sega CD)

$3 bucks a piece! I picked them up right away.

So anyway, It's Sunday. We go to the Flea Market. I go to look around for a while, I see on a table for 50 cents each these games:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 (LCD Game)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Basketball (LCD Game)
Mattel Electronic Soccer (LED Game)

Cool, I thought. Picked them up. So I was Walking back to our stand, and guess what I saw in the Corner of my eye:

NES Action Set (COMPLETE!)
Extra Grey Zapper
NES Advantage Joystick (It didn't end up working  )
And 20 Something games. 12 of which I didn't have:

Breakthru
Galaga: Demons of Death
Super Mario Bros. (I have SMB/Duck Hunt, so it wasn't important to me. Just a completist thing)
Karnov
Hogan's Alley
The legend of Kage
Strider
Predator
Ice Hockey
John Elway's Quarterback
10 Yard Fight
Track and Field II

All of it together cost 20 bucks! My mom was like, "What did you do now?" LOL

What did Disappoint me though, was one guy saw something I didn't. The top marquee part of a Vs. Duck Hunt Machine. For a buck no less!

Anyway, the other games I'd put with my stuff I'm selling. I already made back $12 bucks on the games alone by the end of the day!

So that was my journey. All in all, I was very pleased. :D

Nice find.

Next time, please post your finds in the weekly/weekend find topic instead of starting a new topic.

Thanks!
