I modded up a Super Nintendo recently. I realize it's nothing super fantastic like my modded ColecoVisions, but it's something that I wanted to do. It has side-mounted (no room on the rear) Composite Video, S-Video, and Stereo Audio jacks, and I've replaced the original red LED with a purple LED to better suit the color scheme of the console. Now I realize that the output mods can be achieved with the use of special cables, but this makes it a little unique, and only requires standard cables. A 6 ft. gold-plated, color-coded S-Video & Stereo Audio cable is included, along with 3 boxed games, and all necessary hardware.

criminy.
You are skilled. I can only hope that one day my soldering work is that good....although my s-video colecovision doesn't look THAT bad, I did wind up mounting the damn jack upside down :<

But the SNES can already so S-vid. I don't understand why the mod is neccesary. It's done well, I just don't see the point.

I thank you, and sorry to hear about the S-Video jack.

I thank you in advance.

As I said the output mods aren't necessay, with special cables the same results can be achieved. But with the mods and the pretty Purple LED it just makes this console a little different than the other 500,000,000 that were sold.

And I thank you.

Have you ever done any mods with Nes systems? If you have, post some pics.

I'm working on something for the original front-loading NES, but it's not done yet. I'll post it here when I'm ready to sell it for a ton of money. 8-)

A 32X s-video mod would rock (though I think I've been told before it's impossible). It sucks having to play that thing, the CD, and the Genny with composite cables. I have a modded Genesis, but that's seperate from the main setup.

I've thought about that too, I haven't had a chance to get to it yet though. Someday though, I'm sure, I'll take mine apart and do something with it.

Last bump, less than 10 hours left. Thanks for looking.
