what games do you have on both PC and a console? (not including roms, duh) a lot of games were released for both, but i don't think many people would get both.

i have:

Star wars episode 1 racer- PC and N64
Quake 3 arena- PC and Dreamcast
Tom clancy's Ghost recon - PC and Xbox
i don't think there are any more.

Half-Life(PC and DC), I prefer the PC version by alot.

I know the DC version needed a little more polish before it was released, and then it would have been about equal. But as it is, I prefer the PC version for(shorter loading times, better sound(IMO) and no slowdown).

Unreal Tournament(PC and DC), I prefer the DC version(even though I don't know why)

The PC version has alot more stuff, but for some reason the DC version is just special to me(plus that add bots code is really cool). And I actually like using the DC controller for this. 0_0

Morrowind(PC and Xbox), Both great games, but I gotta go with the PC on this(WAY faster load times, slightly better graphics, the modding options, ect).

That's about it I think, as I mostly game on consoles and I'm not a very big PC user.

Hmm...quite a list actually:

King's Quest for PC and SMS
King's Quest V for PC and NES
Crusader No Remorse for PC and Saturn. (I like the Saturn version more).

Wolfenstien 3D for PC and Jaguar (Jaguar version is better...)

Unreal Tournement for PC and DC. I also like the DC version more. I think the controls work better for some reason.

Revolt for PC and DC. DC port is better, as it has more cars and tracks over the PC version.

Spiderman for PC and DC, again the DC version is better to play.

Beyond Good and Evil for PC and GameCube. Cube version BY FAR is the better since I can actually complete that version without needing some hack to get past the bugs in the PC version that make the PC version unplayable!

That is about all that I can think of right off hand.

I gave up PC gaming (not emulation) altogether about four years ago, but still possess these redundancies:

Doom - PC and Jag
Wolfenstein 3D - PC and Jag
Dune II - PC and Genesis (Genny version is called Dune: The Battle For Arrakis - not to be confused with the Sega CD "Dune", which I have for PC only and not Sega)
Low priority acquisition is to buy Quake II for the N64 as I never finished the PC version. Might as well get Quake while I'm at it. One of these days...

I also have console versions of these PC games:

Starflight (Genesis) - actually quite different from the PC version

Ninja Gaiden II (NES) - never actually played my PC copy

Castevania (NES) - PC version is OK but definitely inferior

Doom (32X) - haven't played the 32X version yet

I think that's all.

I own both the PC & Xbox versions of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I bought it for the PC first but was never able to get it to run smoothly on my computer.

I can really think of only a few:

Beyond Good & Evil
Warcraft II
XCom: UFO Defense

I own PC copies of Metal Gear Solid + FF7 / FF8, but didn't see the need to re-buy for PS.

Whoever said Baldur's gate... the PC version is entirely different from the console games.

I have...
Doom on PC and... pretty much everything else...
Heroes of Might and Magic I/II PC and GBC(A?)
Crusaders of Might and Magic PC and PS1 (I think)
Starcraft on PC and N64
Hexen on PC and N64 and PS1
Diablo on PC and PS

All I can think of offhand.

I don't have anything that is on multiple systems (unless it is an upgraded enough game). I try to stay away from that - just costs too much for the same game.

GTA 3 (PC and PS2)(though I lent out my PC copy and never got it back)
Morrowind + Expansions (Xbox and PC)

Old school gamer here -

SimCity for both PC and SNES. Actually the "CD-ROM" version for PC with outstandingly cheesy, dorky FMV for the disasters. PC version blows the slow SNES version away - geez, 15 minutes of staring at a screen, watching gradients represent the changing of seasons, just to advance things by a year? Nothx. Give me Godzilla over Browser, the Allied forces bombing those Nazi Germans over "Aliens" bombing Las Vegas, and Dullsville over Mario's idiotic visage - though the "reward" system in the SNES version was kinda cool, and I don't remember the music sucking that much.

Populous for SNES and PC. I'm torn. SNES version has some extraordinary music - moody and deep, the kinda stuff that passes the hours. The graphics are sharper, and the variety of worlds far surpasses the comparitively weak PC version. I guess the only thing keeping me from being a diehard supporter of the SNES version is the sluggishness of the controls - face it, this game was designed for mouse. Not mouse + keyboard like the games you young whippersnappers play demand these days - just a good ol' fashioned mouse, with keyboard optional.

I played the SNES version of DOOM once - I was not impressed. Nor did the Jaguar version, which many cite as one of the standout titles for the console, as well as the single best port, bar none, move me.

And would the Midway Arcade Treasures vs. MAME PC count? Uh... not that I would ever download illegal ROMz or pirated warez, of course, by any means.

GTA3 is the only game I have for both PS2 and PC but I think the PC version sucks overall sure the skins and stuff are fun to mess with for a while but I always go back to the PS2 version.

I just cant seem to get into PC gaming much other than emulation if it wasnt for that my new $800 PC would be nothing more than a big oversized paperweight LOL

These might not count:

Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge (PC & GBA)

Also, I Had a copy of Star wars racer on the PC, but it didn't work. (It was BNEW) So i got rid of that and bought it for the N64.

Quake III - PC & DC

I think that's the only one. I don't see much of a point in getting a game for multiple systems/computers (though, I do have copies of Gauntlet Legends for the DC & N64).

C&C: Red Alert - PC, PSone
Theme Park - PC, Mega Drive, Jaguar
Broken Sword: Shadow Of The Templars - PC, PSone
