The V64jr is not an N64 flash cartridge. It uses some kind of RAM memory...EDO or possibly SDRAM...I cant remember which...

Either way, it lets you play ROMs on your N64, so I call it a flash cart. It's the same thing.

No it isnt "the same thing" at all, far from it ;)

Here's a decent pro/con review of the v64jr:

Thanks for that link.. It has a lot of useful info.

On another note, price reduction. Now it's $160 for the whole getup.

Bump..

Still looking to sell them, price is negotiable.. Also, still looking for any PS2 or GBA games, preferably not complete since they're cheaper that way. :P

So what happens to the cart after the six batteries die out? Does the memory die, so we have to put in games again? And how come there is a second cart port in the back?

IIRC, the Jr does require power (either batteries or a plug in adapter) to store the games. When plugged into a N64, it gets its power from the N64.

Also, the slot on the back is so you can piggy back another cart. N64 copiers still need a real cart so they can boot games, although it basically doesn't matter what that game is. In other words, you can have Zelda plugged in and playing Super Mario Party. All of my CD and Disk based N64 copiers have spots for host carts as well.

I don't own a Jr (3 N64 copiers is enough for me!) but I believe that info is correct.

Yeah, Flack pretty much summed it up. It can use an AC adaptor, but I'm not sure what voltage you'd need to run it. And as a general rule, the older games like Doom and Blast Corps serve as the best boot carts.

Price reduction. I'll also throw in a free Gameshark and probably some other stuff for whoever buys it.
